A Fantastic Product
Having seen some of the reviews here, I felt that it was only fair to counter the critical reviews of this excellent product. Contrary to other comments, it was straightforward to set up, yes the boundary wire takes some time to lay out, but that is the same for any robotic mower and not such a big job on a sunny day. The docking station of course needs a power supply and to face in a certain direction but again, not a problem. The quality of the cut is excellent, it cuts in straight lines every time and cuts from a different direction each time to give a healthy great looking lawn, with thick, healthy green grass It does exactly what I bought it for and it is probably one of the best products that I have bought, the lawn always looks spot on. If I had any criticism it would be that it would be nice to have more adjustment in the blade height, but this is only minor and me trying to have a perfect lawn.

Wish I had bought another brand of mower. Indego performance well below the claims.
I have a small lawn 60sqm with edging stones at the same level. It is rounded and on a slight 5 degree slope. So none of this should be a problem according to the Bosch advertising. But it is. Setting up the perimeter wire should be easy and it is but for the wire near the base station. Even a slight deviation from dead straight in the first 2 metres stops the robot and it cant dock. So on a curved lawn even though the curve is very gentle, and the flattest part of my ever so gentle sloping lawn, this was a problem for it. Forget about it being anywhere other than on a square corner on the lawn or a straight perfectly level edge. The robot wont work properly. It took multiple redos of the wire until it worked as it should. The next problem was the perimeter wire itself. It was fiddly to strip and feed the wire in. The wire is difficult to strip and the dock Connectors difficult to feed into. My arthritis fingers might be in play here but compared to wiring a speaker this is very hard. And you have To get it exactly and perfectly right! Once all this was done, the grass had grown too high for it to work! But eventually it came out, mapped the lawn and mowed it reasonably well. Or so I originally thought. The main annoying things - 1. Everytime something goes wrong or you have to pick up or move the unit you have to put in the pin on the machine itself - really irritating and it has to be on its base station also to input and if in a protective wooden planter box garage this is hard to see and do. Why cant you just use the app? Which brings me to the app. 2.Not everything is connected in the app. For example I cant check if the device is in the correct position after a reset. There does need better integration with the app. And having recorded on the app no mowing after 2000pm(because hedgehog's about) last night it started mowing at 2030 pm! So app does not appear to be updating machine. I have had a few robots. This is the most expensive but the proof of its value will be in 6 months time. I will report back then. Update. Several things the advertising and reviews don't tell you. This machine is very finicky. The slightest variation to how it is set up and it stops. It is not waterproof and sets its mowing schedule by the weather forecast. Well fantastic in theory. One mow on a lawm with heavy dew but sun streaming down stuffed its front and back wheels so it kept missing its angle to dock properly at the base station. base station. So I cant leave for a week and let it do its thing because it might not get back to base if t he lawn has moisture on it and is not completely dry. Then cleaning it becomes a nightmare. The underneath has so many nooks and crannies for grass to lodge and if the grass is moist it is difficult to clean but clean ( only dry brush and cloth allowed) you must otherwise it wont work properly. The undercarriage needs a redesign from Bosch to protect front wheels from getting clogged. When it works it is great. The lawn is new turf - did I say it doesn't like soft lawns either. So the grass is growing really fast and strongly so it does need 2 or 3 cuts a week. All in all this mower is not all it is cracked up to be. There are loads of iissues thatBosch really needs to assess and fix. And reviewers shouldnt be writin reviews until they have some months experience with it to work out its quirks. I have downgrraded my rating by one star. I am beginning to despair over this machine. I now. Wish i had bought anything but Bosch! The rave recviews do not match my e xperience. The robot regularly (most times)misses patches (my lawn is tiny 59sm) then next time sees the longer grass as an object and misses it again. I have remapped several times. It then relearns, which seems to involve it running round the perimeter wire and not mowing the lawn, then retuning to dock having NOT mowed with app declaring mowing complete.,This should be straightforward. My lawn is small but curved and on a slight slope ie less than 10 degrees. There are no objects in it and the permeter wire is correctly placed on the lawn. There is a brick border at the same level as the lawn. This mower does not function as Bosch claims in its advertising. Now had this mower three months and I think I have spent more time trying to get it mow than it has actually mowed. I have downgraded my review yet another star. Two weeks ago it stopped working and I have had multiple error messages since. I have done a factory reset, changed pin - no joy. I now wouldnt accept a Bosch indego as a gift. It gets worse. Three weeks ago mower stopped working. Wouldnt leave dock to mow or map. Nothing seems to work. Contacted Bosch support . I answered their questions and sent them the photos they requested. My ticket was passed onto ‘An. Indego specialist’. And despite getting back to them to find out how this is progressing - absolute silence from Bosch. So much for support. I am now going to Amazon customer support. I

Game changer.
This has made a huge difference to us. Previously we didn’t have time to cut the lawn regularly, meaning it was too long to enjoy and not good for the lawn health. This lawnmower has been great, it’s set on a timer and cuts the lawn every other day even doing so whilst we were on holiday. It leaves stripes and cuts the grass systematically.

Disappointed - misses parts of the lawn
I had such high hopes for something from Bosch.... Laying the boundary wire is a bit tedious, but the same for all robot mowers, so not unique to this one. Where proverbial wheels come off is in the actual operation. Bosch claim it will cut in lines in some sort of controlled fashion. However.... Like 90% of robot mowers they are effectively dumb and don't have any navigation type sensors (unlike a robot vacuum) mowers pretty much bounce off the boundary wire in random directions until the lawn is cut. Bosch have tried to take this a step further by saying it will mow in straight lines based on the boundary wire, but the mower has no way to know it's going straight (it just assumes it is), so when a wet leaf or snails slime trail knocks it off course it has no idea, so just keeps cutting the same grass. Whilst the intention is sound it's massively problematic in real life. Damp grass for example gets stuck in the front wheels, pulling it off course, so then it's not cut where it thought it had, says lawn finished with chunks left untouched. Mine kept simply missing a patch in the middle of the lawn, it would only run for about 20mins before needing a charge, randomly fails to enter the dock, then drives round the garden till the battery goes flat ! Pretty useless for the price. I was hoping for something above the normal boundary wire bouncing tech, but this is actually worse. Stick to what works and save money
