I purchased these for my child who deals with anxiety challenges. She is in high school and was fearful of being teased if she had a fidget toy. After searching Amazon I came across these. She puts them on her pencils and they look really cute. When she feels anxious, she gently rubs the textured surface and it soothes her without being noticed by others. She uses them on mechanical pencils and the fit is perfect. The spikes do eventually start to fall off, but you do get a lot in the package so it goes a long way. I definitely recommend these cute pencil holders not only for sensory use, but also because they are nice as pencil grips.

My child was chewing on pencils at school. We bought these and put them on his pencils and now he is able to use these as a fidget of sorts, but they give him that sensory feedback he was needing, so he didn't need to chew anymore. Perfect fit for regular Ticonderoga pencils.
