Can you put it in water? Our dog won't take it as directed.

It is only suppose to go on both sides of your dogs mouth. They will then start licking around their mouth and teeth, in which the gel will coat all the teeth. The previous person who answered your question was incorrect. This is not toothpaste, so it does not go on a toothbrush. If you want something to put in your dogs water bowl, I suggest purchasing a dental water additive.

My cats HATE THIS STUFF. It literally has a strong mint smell to it like icy hot cream or human toothpaste... It's a no go.

Any idea why the instructions on the back of the box say, "Brush teeth once daily for 30 days"?

I've always been told to brush my dogs teeth at least once a week. I do that. I don't know why they say to brush them once daily for 30 days, but my thought is that if you brush them it will loosen the plaque much better than not doing it. This stuff works really well and I have been able to actually pick the plaque off my dog's teeth with my finger nail just by applying this gel daily, but brushing will probably hasten the process.

I we use this enough, does it eliminate the need for the vet's $900 teeth cleaning?

wow that's some expensive vet! I've been using it to brush my dog's teeth every single night and she does not get cleanings, now that she is 12 years old for the first time she's started to accumulate some tarter on her teeth that this seems to no longer be getting off like it used to do, so I've decided to switch to a homemade toothpaste of calcium carbonate, baking soda, and a little trace minerals and a little food grade peppermint oil as I use it for myself and my teeth have never been whiter, even with whitening toothpaste. So to answer your question she has been good all these years with diligently brushing her teeth with this until now. I would load up the toothbrush 2 or 3 times though to do her entire mouth (she's a 33 lb. dog so medium sized).

I've been using this on my dog for a couple months now and here's my honest review: His overall dental health has improved quite alot! His breath is fresh and his teeth look whiter. Hes a picky boy so he doesn't really love the taste, but it's for his overall health! I would recommend this for anyone with dogs!

Bought this for my big fur baby. She likes the flavor and it leaves her breath smelling fresh. I still use a brush as I would think you would need to in order to help remove any buildup. Good value for the amount vs other brands. The tip makes it nice to dispense the correct amount as it is a gel and can thin a little if at room temperature, reducing the messiness of the product.

Bought this to clear the plaque off my dogs teeth. Used this product a couple of year ago and it is fantastic. However it is now discontinued. Could only find it with this seller and had to pay well over what it’s worth. I bought a larger bottle just under two year ago for £8.00 so charging £20.99 for a smaller bottle is an absolute rip off. Had no choice but to order as it’s the only thing that’s works. The product itself is fantastic I would definitely recommend.... but the price this seller charges is way over what it should retail for
