Actually better than expected. Really nice version of the PAF tone. Not as open or bouncy as a handwound version or original, but I was not expecting that for this price. I have really enjoyed it so far.

I think it sounds pretty close to a PAF. I have another strat with a full sized Pearly Gates and they sound similar enough if you set the height of this one close to the strings to match the output. The only reason I didn’t rate this a 5 is that the parchment color definitely doesn’t match the Fender parchment. It’s considerably lighter such that I would say it looks like a color between white and parchment with slightly more gray than the subtly yellowed parchment?

Nice sound. Good treble, balances well with the single coils. No 60 cycle hum. Easy to install.
