This is a really useful book to use by both busy teachers at school and parents for home learning. The age group related vocabulary and learning tasks and activities are both really clear to use and provide good reinforcement of spelling rules. There is also a very useful section of fun ways to remember tricky spelling patterns. This book can be used as part of a spelling program in school, a book to dip into for a set of lessons or to re enforce a particular spelling pattern with varied activities.

A great book for parents who want some help supporting their child’s reading and writing development through guiding them through activities to support learning at home. Or I imagine for teacher use in supporting planning or perhaps setting spelling homework. Includes some helpful and fun techniques for learning, such as ideas for mnemonics. Pages are laid out in a simple and engaging way. The author is clearly very experienced with what works when supporting children as she is a professional. As a parent it feels a little like having access to teacher resources! I really recommend this book!
