What if one dog goes around a post on one side and one on the other or one walks behind me and comes up the other side?

first off you work hard to steer them to the same side and if not just pull the other one around you can lock each leash so if one starts to go around you just lock it and steer them around. Not too hard to get the hang of the reduced length does make it a little easier to handle I walk 3 dogs at once with no real issues 2 small 10LB dogs on the Dual and then a 65lb on a longer flexi leash.

One of the leashes broke. Can you replace the leash part? Or do I need to purchase a whole new unit?

Mine seemingly broke inside the handle. I opened it up and studied the engineering. I was able to put it back together and it works perfect again. The actual fabric leashes are wound up separately in the small round attachment. I didn’t open that, but my guess is you could feed a new leash in if it was the exact width.

Can you use your own leash with this?

Yes you can, the fabric part of the leash is 23" including the clip , if you clip your standard leash to this clip you now have a leash that is 23" longer than your standard leash. If you extend the leash fully with your leash attached it will be about 10ft. longer than your standard leash. It still works fine this way. Also if you get a large carabiner clip you can clip them to your shopping cart handle if you go to a store they are allowed in.

Anyone know the difference between this leash & the $10 more expensive leash from same company? (They look the same)

I have the one that you posted. I really like it. However, I believe it is only 10 feet long and wish you was a longer leash. It has duo push button so you can stop one dog at a time. Not sure at the one that is cheaper.
