How doe the Mueller knee strap compare to the Cho-pat product of similar design?

For basketball, I have used both of them in more than a year. In my opinion, 'Cho-pat' is actually high quality and it makes me feel tighten harder. in addition, you can choose a suitable size. ('Mueller is only one size.) However, from the viewpoint of durability and air permeability, 'Mueller' is better. So if you want to use the strap for some sports with a lot of sweat and wash it frequently, I recommend 'Muller'. For walking, I think 'Cho-pat' is better.

how big of a leg will it fit?

I am a user. I have a 19.5inch lower thigh just above the knee where the brace fits. I am not a small man and it fits.

What brace is recommended for hyperextended knee??

I don't know but I have been wearing it before knee surgery and I asked my surgeon about it and he said it a good brace to wear. I know I will need a knee replacement but till I do this brace does help the pain.

Do you just keep it on all day?

I bought it for my husband. I would not whete it all day, when you know your going to sit for awhile or an hour before you go to bed. Take it off so your knee ca breathe. My husband loves it. It gives him great support
