You definitely have to plan your pattern out in advance, be willing to cut/tape strands together at different lengths, and be extremely careful not to tangle the various strands *before* they're in place. (Also, I wouldn't call it the fastest set-up in the world, so make sure it's not a crunch time decor situation or these will frustrate the crap out of you.) If you have the time and patience, these are definitely worth it.
