Misen 5-Ply Stainless Steel 12" Frying Pan actually cooks evenly and cleans easily!
This frying pan is actually unbelievably amazing. I have owned dozens of frying pans over my life and typically have gravitated to coated ones for ease of cleaning. Eventually they all scratch and peel and I have to replace them. This stainless steel pan actually lives up to what is advertised. It actually cooks evenly and even if there is a food residue on it after cooking I fill it with water and then the food comes off it very easily! I bought the 12' pan. It is heavy but I can handle it fine (69 yr old woman). I had a lid already and it fits nicely. I have only used it on a gas cook top. I like it so much that I am planning on giving my grandson one for Christmas as he is looking to get something and was considering a cast iron one. I think, having experience with cast iron and coated pans, that he will be happy with this because it actually heats evenly and more importantly it cleans easily!

A Quality Pan That’s Easy To Use And Clean!
First off, I am not what I consider a true cook. However, I wanted this stainless steel fry pan for cooking breakfast items like eggs. I watched a number of YouTube videos on SS pans. For eggs, I learned to cook at lower temperatures using butter to first coat the pan. For meat and other items , I use virgin grape seed oil to cook at high temperatures. I watch for drops of water to race around the pan first. This has worked well and I recommend this pan for its quality and easy cleanup.

Gorgeous, high quality
These are phenomenal pans. Gave one to each of our 20 something grandsons who are establishing households. Will last a lifetime.

Great pans and a must-have in a cook's kitchen
The 8" is our favorite, go-to pan for eggs and the 10" for braising chicken and finishing off in the oven.Everything cooks better in these pans! The weight and quality of the pans makes them a great value at this price point and I've bought multiple sets as gifts and everyone is thrilled.

Relatively high quality, but I ended up with something else
Misen makes solid pans that perform well. This is a nice shape and depth for a 12" pan, and 5-ply stainless steel is great. Stainless steel is NOT nonstick, but with the right temperature and sufficient oil, you can avoid anything that's too difficult to clean. And really, this is a benefit. Nonstick coatings don't last and they eventually chip off into your food. One excellent feature of Misen's pans is that the rims are sealed. At the edge of most clad pans, including much more expensive brands, you can actually see the layers of steel and aluminum. This isn't a problem cosmetically, but aluminum can corrode pretty easily and is especially susceptible in the dishwasher. Technically, clad pans shouldn't be washed in the dishwasher unless the rims are sealed. All-Clad lost a lawsuit about this, because the aluminum wears down while the steel stays intact, leaving sharp layers of steel that are thin enough to cut skin. There aren't a lot of clad pans with sealed rims out there, and Misen is the lowest-cost option that I'm aware of. If you don't want to hand-wash your pans, this should be a huge factor for you when considering a large cookware investment. I ended up going with another brand, because I personally don't like Misen's handle. It's high quality and comfortable, but it has a polished finish that makes it slippery compared to brushed handles or handles with a less comfortable curved spoon shape (like All-Clad). To me, that was a bigger factor than being able to use the dishwasher, so I ended up with a Made In set that I wash by hand. If you like a round polished handle, Misen is a GREAT option. It's also one of the cheaper clad options out there and they've got a great reputation. I do still recommend this pan.

This has become the Favourite Pan in our household
I know that non-stick is popular, and I get it. We always went that route, too (or cast iron, which I find to be sometimes "easy care" and other times "hard to care for" as they can rust on the bottom and leave stains). But, by gum, I have to say this is even easier to clean than regular non-stick, as I *can* use a scrubber, and as fiercely as I feel like without fear of damaging it. And, there's no coating to wear off and get into your food. There's no hard-earned "seasoned" patina to try and not remove and no "seasoning" to redo every so often. We can use this in the oven for certain dishes, as well. Something that you can't do with most non-stick pans (maybe you can with the ceramic types, if the manufacturer says it's ok). We have spent years cycling through non-stick pans. The cheaper and the more expensive ones out there. All last only so long. A year here, a couple of years there. But always needing to be replaced after what feels like a short time. During this, we have owned a set of stainless steel pots - for at least 25+ years, and never needing to replace them. So, when the most recent inevitable time to replace The Pan came, we bought this along with a carbon steel pan (the one my husband was most excited to get) and a ceramic coated pan (the one I was most excited to get). Out of the three, this is the one we both reach for, time and time again. And, as the person who does 85% of the dishwashing, I really appreciate the easy cleanup it provides (I swear, I will not try and wash that carbon steel one, as I don't want to accidentally remove the baked-on protective layer that my husband has so lovingly built up on it). Even though we do own stainless steel pots, I hadn't thought it would be just as easy to clean a pan (something you cook more aggressively in) as they are. Even after a burned disaster. It always looks like new after washing. Even with the worst mess, it doesn't take a whole lot to get it clean again. The thick bottom - and I do mean thiiiiick - really helps distribute the heat evenly. Hands down, our most favourite pan. When we finally decide to add in more pans for size variances, I will be looking at getting them from this line.

Strong and sturdy with it's own kind of beauty. This is a very capable pan, particularly for the money. If you're looking for a high quality pan with even heat distribution but aren't ready to pay the high-end prices then this is hard to beat

I am happy with this skillet. It preheats quickly to the rolling water droplets stage on medium heat, its handle stays cool even if the pan itself is scorching hot and stays cool for at least half an hour during high heat cooking. And with a minimal amount of fat, like 1/4 of tsp of oil or butter, it fries an egg without sticking. It is lightweight enough for comfortable handling during cooking and washing it even though it is a five-ply all clad item. Five stars well earned!

Döküm ızgaradan vazgeçemeyeceğimi zannetmiştim ama artık yeni et pişiricimiz oldu. Sıcak suyla temizlemesi de gayet kolay.

Excited to receive the 10 inch misen stainless steel skillet. On first touch, there was a solid feel and weight to it. Well constructed. Exellent heat conduction. I put under moderate fire and it heats up in less than a minute. Very even heating as well. Beautiful sear. Slight browning of internal skillet surface after few use. It is normal effects of a seasoned pan. If crust develops, just wait till pan cools down before soaking in water. It will come off easily. Do not siak immediate when v hot as pan might distort due to sudden temp change. A happy buy
