Great Option For Shabbat Observers I purchased this warming tray to help keep my meals warm during the Shabbat and special holiday periods when I am limited in the way that I can utilize many of the standard appliances in my kitchen. I researched quite a few different manufacturers and their models of electric warming trays, before I selected the MegaChef. I chose this warming tray mainly because of the straightforward temperature settings, the safety features that prevent overheating, and the overall size of the unit (which can accommodate several dishes/pots at one time). Out of the box, you can tell this warming tray is very sleek and modern in design, but this unit is also solidly constructed overall. Moreover, I love how the silver and black design perfectly meshes with the stainless steel layout of my kitchen. In terms of functionality, the unit heats up pretty quickly and it does an excellent job of properly distributing heat throughout the surface area. Lastly, I operated this warming tray exclusively on the stone/marble counter-top in my kitchen. Depending on your preferred temperature settings, this tray can become exceptionally hot, so I personally never felt comfortable using it on any wood or plastic surfaces, especially if you intend to leave the tray unattended. Just food for thought. All and all, I am extremely happy with this warming tray, and I would candidly recommend it to others.

I bought this on a whim for my son's birthday party. We had food we needed to keep warm so I decided to try it. We had one 9x13 glass dish on it and it moved around a little bit when trying to scoop out the food so I'll probably try putting a silicone mat under it for some grip. This is no fault of the product itself though - just mentioning it for future users. It worked so well that we had multiple people asking us where we got this product. We were asked to bring it to another party for someone else and we had two 9x13 dishes on it and the food stayed warm the whole time. It's lightweight, easy to clean and bring along, I would 100% recommend. * I think I read in the comments somewhere that there was a smell the first time they used it. Once I opened the product, I plugged it in and turned it on max temperature for a few minutes just to "burn off" any smell. It did had a very light chemical/burn smell at first, but nothing crazy (and I'm super sensitive to smells). After that initial use, I haven't smelled anything from it at all.

These warming trays were great and kept our food warm for our party.

Nice surface area. Had 2 9 x 13 and larger foil pan sitting atop the glass top. It gets quite hot, keeping dishes warm. Has little feet to keep up off the counter. I placed on a wooden cutting board to prevent heat damage to quartz counter just in case and it worked well. Save the storage box to protect the glass top.
