KAVU Original Rope Sling Bag with Adjustable Rope Shoulder Strap

This is my 5th Kavu bag, I love them .. I would give 5 stars but my bag arrived with a bright orange strap vs. the typical black that was shown in the photo. All of my previous bags had black straps and I wouldn't have purchased this one knowing it was this color. That said, it was on sale and I love the pattern, so I am keeping it.Just be aware that these can come with a different colored strap than the picture shoes, I had no idea as all of my previous ones have been black.

Positives-Made of quality material and straps are durable-Lots of external pockets make stuff easy to get to and easy to organize-Great size for on-the-go but still holds quite a bit-Many choices for design/materialNegatives-No water bottle pocket.-Items placed in the main, large pocket cannot really be organized.

Love the size and the outside pocket that fits your phone perfectly. Makes a great bag for day hikes and when attending live music.

Kavu bags are sturdy, beautiful, and tough. Add tons of different prints and color block designs to make them yours, and they check all the boxes! Will last for years, too.

This bag is super comfortable to wear and you don't have to worry about messing with keeping it on your shoulder like a regular purse or even having to readjust after movement like a crossbody. I forget I have it on! Usually when I'm out running errands and have to get a shopping cart the first thing I do is put my bag in it because I'm sick of lugging it around...but not this one!It's a perfect minimalist mom bag, it stays on when you are chasing kids or have to pick one up and doesn't get in the way. I wish I had this when I was baby wearing! Very handy that it can be worn on the back or front and quickly flips around. I can fit my wallet, a couple compact reusable shopping bags, my water bottle and my son's, a hand sanitizer and handkerchief and a few snacks in here. !Protip! get a carabiner for your Keychain and you can clip it right to the front buckle so your keys stay accessible as you are running errands and back and forth to the car.I got the fairy tale print and absolutely love it!Only downsides are1.I wish it was a tad bit bigger (but the good side of that it keeps me from weighing it down by putting too much junk in it)2. the zipper pulls feel very small and flimsy for how buried they are under the zipper flap. I acknowledge the later is a trade off to keep it water resistant...but I'd love if there was a larger heftier pull or even bit of paracord on there to make it a bit quicker/easier to get to.I may end up doing some sort of diy on it myself.That all being said I'm super happy with it and it's my absolute new favorite bag.The print really puts it over the top for me! Love it!

I love the size, shape, strap, pockets and colors of this bag! Holds everything I need it to! My only complaint, more a minor inconvenience…when I pull it around while on my body to open it, now the zippers are under the little flap…it makes getting to them a little annoying….I put rings on mine so it’s easier to find the zippers and use them. Still not a deal breaker, I love this thing!

I gave it a five-star review and changed it to a two-star review. It's still brand new and the largest compartment will barely open and that's happened three times now to the point I thought I'd have to cut the purse open! I am going to try getting one in another color in hopes the zipper is good. I have had a purse that is the same brand but a different style and I have worn it out over about a 5-year period of time. I do have confidence in the brand, but I am seeing other people having zipper issues. They do sell thousands, so I hope it's just a rare problem. Fingers crossed that the next one has no problems because I love this purse!The first one I owned, was an over-the-shoulder Style and I wore it for 4 or 5 years before it started wearing out. I would have bought the same one again but they don't make it in a fabric I like. I decided to try this even though I have a bad spinal cord injury and I thought it probably wouldn't work but it actually helps a lot! When you wear a purse it pulls the weight down in the front pulling your spine over and causing more pain. The way this is on me, and I'm only 5 ft tall, the weight is on my rear end and it actually helps me stand up straighter and relieves the pain. It only weighs 12 oz even though it carries a lot. I went ahead and ordered a small size one as well in a different fabric so I would have variety but I didn't get it on Amazon because the one I wanted was elsewhere. If you carry a lot in your purse this really holds a lot. I like that when sitting down you can just slide it in front of you. It's easy for me to put it on in the car with it in front of me and when I stand up slide it around to the back which is handy when it's raining. Also I use an electric scooter at stores and I'm able just to slide it to the front where I can get in and out of my purse easy and still sit in the scooter without it behind my back. This is really good for someone with a spinal injury. If you don't need to carry much you might want to try the smaller one but I think it'll be nice to have both because the other one is a more conservative looking material where this one is very bright.I tried the mini and I'm 5' tall. I don't recommend it for anyone taller because the strap is much shorter. I have it all the way out but I do have a large chest. I can't carry everything I would normally carry in the mini. The two middle pockets are very small compared to the other bag because the big size fits my cell phone just barely and the other one it can't go in at all. You would have to have a very tiny phone like an apple mini or flip phone. The pockets very narrow on the bottom. I'm able to put a pack of gum and a small pack of crackers in the front middle compartment on the mini. My keys are all I put in the pocket above it. I can fit a full size wallet, my cell phone, an inhaler, an EpiPen a bottle of Excedrin, a comb, and a few very small papers folded up. I can't carry my checkbook or any makeup, except lip stick in the mini size. It is very light weight, but don't expect to bring everything you normally need. A water bottle would take up entirely too much space. Because of trying out the mini, I'm going to get another full size bag in a different color and hope it has a good zipper. It's too small to work as a diaper bag because I know people do use them for that but it wouldn't be big enough. Anything you put into one zippered area takes away from space in the other zippered area. I even took my Kleenex out and it was one of those little packets. This would be really good for a girl in fifth sixth or 7th grade so that she can bring personal items to school and still be carrying around a really cool little bag. It would not carry books and things though. I can't imagine putting any kind of tablet in here and still fitting other things you need either. The large size that I returned over the zipper will carry probably everything you need and still have room left over. I found it to be very spacious and you could put a tablet in it or a book and a bottle of water and anything else you needed.

Bag is great, however, it’s NOT the Kavu Rope Pack. It’s the Rope Sling - which is a completely different material. I was hoping for the Pack, but I like the pattern enough to keep this one. Great size and a true Kavu.
