The Clear Quran® Series – English Hardcover

Alḥamdulillāh, this Qur’an is beautifully done. The wording is clear and easy to follow, making it much easier to understand and reflect on. I’m very pleased with this purchase and would recommend it to others seeking clarity and understanding.

I picked up The Clear Quran and it’s exactly what it promises: clear, easy to read, and easy to understand. The language is straightforward without losing the depth and meaning of the text, which makes reading and reflecting much more accessible. Overall, a highly recommended edition for anyone who wants a clear, understandable, and thoughtful reading experience.

This book is an amazing resource for anyone interested in leaning more about Islam. There are other direct translations of the Holy Qur’an, but with the Clear Qur’an, It uses God instead of Allah and the English names for Prophets, allowing the Qur’an to be easy and clear for Non-Muslims. Every effort has been made to select easy to understand words and phrases that reflect the beauty, flow, and power of the original text.

This is the best and easiest translation I have read so far.

I'm a seeker. In order to help me to understand the religion of 2 billion people in the world a friend sent me this copy of the Clear Quran. It is giving me a concise and basic understanding of a religion that is practiced in every country.

Translation is BEAUTIFUL and easy to understand.

Great Quran, helps me understand Islamic theology with the thematic sections. First Quran for me also as a English only speaker.

So I got the softcover version for this. Here are the good points: Very nice gold-like lettering on the front, came in the condition exactly as advertised. It seems to be an approved, somewhat modern/paraphrased version of the Koran (akin to the CEV version of the Bible), approved by the Islamic Council at the Al-Azhar University. An attempt has been made to copy a similar approach that most basic study Bibles do--a map in the front, with a basic explanation of the historical background for the text and nice summaries of each chapter at the beginning of each chapter. Now for the bad points: The explanatory notes at the beginning of the Koran suffer from the same modern muslim missionary tactics/approaches (not unlike the Dawah movement) utilized for recruiting new followers, such as modern interpretations of Islamic Theology (such as the popular notion of God's Messengers going up and down to Illah being replaced by stars and soundwaves). Overall, TCK is a decent stab at making a clearer english translation of the Koran and an introduction to the historical context of the text but more work should be done to refine the introductory text so that it isn't so favorable towards modern interpretations of Islamic Theology. Am going to look at key verses in the Koran to see how they have been translated into english. That is going to be the ultimate test to see how well it has been preserved. TCK is good for beginners or people who have been studying Islam for six months to a year. Seasoned Muslims should get a Koran with Tafsir
