Perfect mattress - better than foam toppers
Perfect for our camper dinette that converts to a bed. Easy to stow and super comfortable. Replaced the foam topper was using previously. Highly recommend.

Great for what it is 💤
After getting rid of a couple of old bedframes, I found myself short of space for overnight guests, with holidays coming up. A new sleeper sofa would take several weeks to arrive, so I went with the Wirecutter recommendation for this temporary bedding. In the short time I've had it, it's been fine. Unpacking and letting the memory foam expand to its full 4-inch thickness wasn't a problem, in fact it seemed to finish forming in less than 24 hours (tho I left it for the full 48). I didn't detect any of the chemical smell others did, so it didn't need airing out. I "test-drove" it myself, figuring I shouldn't let guests sleep on it before I'd given it a try. It's quite comfortable—I was on a hard floor, but the mattress was more than cushy enough, and I slept as soundly as I do in my regular medium-firm bed. Standard-sized queen bedding fits just fine. Storage is adequate. I agree with others that the included bag is cheap and likely won't survive hard use. But I don't plan on lugging this thing more than a room or two away, so it should hold up to for in-home. I also found that fitting the mattress into the bag is pretty easy, if you do it upside-down, i.e. drop the bag over the top of the folded-up mattress and then flip it over to zip up. It takes up a fair amount of closet space but that's expected.

Best for your guests
Makes for a really nice guest mattress, also good for watching movies on the floor (I'm weird). Relatively comfortable, I like it better than using an air mattress, though it won't be replacing your permanent one. It folds up to fit into an included carrying case, and can be stored in a large closet (I got the queen size, so getting the smaller ones should be even easier to store).Taking a star off for the foam being incredibly hard to get back into the casing, and for charging an extra $10 for the blue variant. All in all pretty happy with my purchase, I needed something comfortable for guests, and it accomplishes that well.

Jeep camping must have!
This thing fits perfectly in my 2015 4-door wrangler, I just have to fold one of the small flaps down to cut down the length. I use the “flap” near my feet instead of as a pillow because it helps insulate and keep my feet warm in the winter. Great fit on the sides. This thing is extremely comfortable! I don’t have a platform or anything built up for camping, but this mattress is thick enough to not let me feel any of the sharp edges at the bottom and I don’t even have to fill it the “gap” that keeps have in the rear seats when folded. I’m a side sleeper so that’s huge. I originally order this because we were moving and we were tired of sleeping on an air mattress. This was the most worth it investment of my life, I’ll never use an air mattress even again. The size I got was a twin, but it fits both me, my wife, and my 2 cats just fine. When I’m not camping or moving, I use it as a little couch for my retro gaming area, and my cats are huge fans of it!

Comfortable
This is better than sleeping on an air mattress! It’s comfortable, but a little hard to my liking. It’s easy to setup and put away. I am pleased with this purchase.

Comfortable!!
Comfortable and easy. So much better than a pull out couch. And, you can put it on top of the pull out couch mattress if you don’t want to be on the floor. Finally a comfortable mattress when I go and visit my mom!

Returnable but not returnable.
Softer than expected and once we got it in the room where we wanted to use it, we decided we had bought the wrong color. No problem since it's returnable (right?) First I went to Amazon to process a return. It took me through the whole process and then said to print a UPS label to send it back. The problem was, this was a vacuum packed mattress and sending it back would be extremely difficult. I decided to contact customer service at the company that sold it. Normally in circumstances like this they will issue a refund and tell you to destroy the item or donate it to someone. Instead, they told me it was not returnable since it had been opened. Nothing in the ad about this policy. They offered me a 40% refund and to keep the item. I again pointed out that Amazon actually processed a full return on it and wanted me to print a label to UPS it back to them. They then offered me a 50% refund which I accepted (maybe I can sell it on marketplace fo half of what I paid for it and get the color I need). It's fairly decent quality but is much softer than we had expected it to be. When I laid on it, my body immediately sunk to the floor. If you are extremely light it might work okay for you. If you plan to sleep on it much, a thicker mattress would probably be better. The biggest problem is that it's supposedly returnable, but if you open it to even LOOK at it, you can't return it. Very confusing.

Worth the read, great product.
I’m writing this review mainly to answer some questions I had before ordering this mattress. First off, yes, it arrives compressed—vacuum-sealed incredibly well. That also means the memory foam takes its sweet time to fully expand. If you don’t want to wait forever because I assume it may never do it completely on its own, grab a clothing steamer. I set mine on low and, with a thorough pass over the entire mattress, had it fully expanded in about 30 minutes. A nice surprise: each cushion has a zippered cover, making them super easy to remove. Once the foam expands, getting the covers back on takes a little effort, but trust me, it’s worth it. The mattress is way more comfortable once everything is properly in place. Plus, this design makes washing the cover simple—you don’t even need sheets if you don’t want them. The fabric isn’t the softest, but it’s not uncomfortable either. Since I’m using this for camping, it’s not a dealbreaker for me. The overall build feels solid, though only time will tell how well it holds up. The storage bag isn’t the most durable, but as long as you’re not tossing it around like a duffel full of bricks, it should be fine. My guess is that most complaints about this mattress come from people who didn’t take the time to let it fully expand. Or, though unlikely, they MAY have gotten a faulty product. I haven’t had any contact with the company, so I can’t speak to their customer service, but I also haven’t needed to—I’m happy with my purchase. I’m giving it four stars, only because you have to put in some effort to get it to its full potential. But once you do, it’s absolutely worth it.
