iPower GLT5XX4 54W 4 Feet T5 Fluorescent Grow Light System with Stand Rack for Plant Seed Starting, 6400K, 1 Pack, Green

I got this set on sale for $20 out of season, which is a fantastic deal. Would have been happy to pay a bit more if the light fixture was 2-4 bulbs instead of one tube. The light is too narrow to be an ideal light source for anything other than small batch seed starting but it works well. Seedlings are happy. Would need at least a two bulb setup for long term growth for more than a single narrow planter, but plan to re-use the frame with a wider light for a herb garden. Frame is reasonably sturdy and easy to assemble. The nylon cord setup is easy to adjust quickly, move out of way for watering, and angle light to account for one planter being taller than the one next to it.

After cycling through a couple different lights and almost losing some plants this rig has got our Meyer Lemon trees back on track. We live in a small apartment so this light does seem out of place, more like a light you would see at a professional greenhouse but it has a relatively thin profile and doesn’t spit out light in all directions making it less obtrusive and disruptive. I am a true believer in the T5 bulbs. They keep our fish healthy and as we are realizing that they work well with plants as well. This review is for the 54w x 2 setup so be mindful of what you order. There is a lower powered fixture that I believe is only one bulb. I don’t know what the results would be using the lower power one but this one is working great. Yellowing is going away and a ton of new growth has occurred over the 2-3 weeks I have been using it. Our condo was only getting about 6 hours of sunlight and moving them under the light permanently for 8-9 hours has yielded some healthier plants. Setting up the light was a little bit weird and it uses plastic joint couplers that I have never seen before. I really thought it was breaking when I had to softly hammer them together. They really could have used bolts to hold it together but I don’t plan on moving this around much so it’s not that big of a deal and it doesn’t seem like it will fall apart all that easily. Thankful that I found this light!

This product is great, especially for someone diving into seeding! The stand was super easy to put together, did it in less than 5 minutes. The lamps came nicely packaged inside the fixture housing in nice foam holders to ensure they don't move or bang into eachother during shipping. I had the whole thing setup in less than 10 minutes really, including unboxing. The height adjustment is easy, you just pull on the strings to raise or pull the little plastic level to lower it. So far it's been running for about a week and no problems! It is a florescent fixture so I wasn't expecting any issues. It's the only reason I took a star off. My only complaint is the switch. It's kinda cheap and flimsy but it works just fine.

This is a very nice grow light set up. It's very easy to assemble, it's very sturdy and allows you to adjust the height of the light to the exact position you want it in. It's also a nice frame should you wish to convert to LED lighting, you can clip another type light right on. I like florescent lighting so as long as I can still get bulbs, I will stick with the florescent bulb provided.

Setting up my indoor grow for perpetual harvests I needed a cheap and simple way to hit the vegetative growth phase of my plants on a shoestring budget so I can focus my finances on the flowering phase equipment to come. This was the idea inspired by listening to the Dude Grows Show on youtube and patreon. Just think outside the box. This isn't tall enough so I'll stack something underneath the legs to raise the height. Worried about where to find a replacement bulb but will worry about that another day. I put a gardening mat underneath my plants. They seem very happy under this light and have started to grow already. When starting a new grow most tend to over-buy and buy high wattage lights for the veg state. High wattage isn't needed. This worked out incredibly well for my needs and kept me on budget at a critical phase.

2nd Edit: having no other option but to use what i had already paid for, I started using this again for 2019, it made it a month then completely stopped working. Burnt out 3 lightbulbs due to some sort of short or something. This thing is a waste of money. Edited to add: I had this set up going for 4 months, first to grow some lettuce indoors, which failed miserably. Then I began using it for my seedlings to prepare for outdoor planting. This product does not work as I had hoped. Even completely wrapped in car visors, my seedlings were not receiving enough enough light to grow. I had better luck putting them on a table in front of my window. This DOES NOT cast light very well, light is very centralized and you will have to have this right on top of your plants in order for it to have any chance of working. If you have multi sized plants the smaller ones will not benefit. Overall, I am very disappointed with the performance of this product and wish I had kept with my plan to return it. First review based on assembly: Super easy to put together, I am experimenting with lettuce and spinach indoors since I am in zone 6b. The main use will be early next year when we start our seedlings for our outdoor garden. I used two car visors from the dollar store to help with the reflection and will probably put one in front as well just to keep all the light contained. Overall, great product, time will tell how the bulb will work

Easy assembly. Small footprint. Simple system to change height instantly. Works well with my wifi plug for timed on/off. Generates a little heat, bit that's not a problem for seedling starts. Reliable. No issues what so ever.

Easy set up and adjustability as plants grow.

Taller than I expected which was a great assist as my plants grew....and boy!!! Did they ever grow !!! First year using this setup and I would definitely purchase again. Worth every penny !!!

I really like it.At first i was having hard time lighting it because the flourescent bulb is a bit loose.But as days go on it is working well now. Thanks.Alda
