Used this to affix a FIRE ASSEMBLY POINT SIGN (no fixings supplied) to a post, a bit fiddly but the strip is substantial and the screw is substantial too, will not corrode outdoors and i would expect it will work in saltwater environments well and underground , I am not expecting to have to look at the sign again until the clients wooden post rots off at ground level, then a swap will be effortless as it will be in near perfect condition and not rusted and seized.

Review of Hoses Clamps: I noticed some of the reviews mentioned having trouble with this product. I found the product to work just fine, but that the pictured instructions leave much to be desired. Here are some important points: 🔹 There is a proper direction the screw fitting MUST be placed relative to the band or the helical screw will bind in the slotted ban.? See attached photo. Note: I found the proper direction was in the opposite curvature of the roll of slotted banding as it is unrolled. 🔹 After cutting the slotted banding, I would recommend using a file to remove the rough edges. See attached photo of the tools I used. 🔹 When bending the slotted band to fit in the second end of the screw fitting, I would recommend only bending a 1” length at 75 degrees vs 90 degrees. This will make sliding the slotted band into the screw fitting a bit easier. 🔹 After sliding the bent slotted band into the screw fitting, I found it helpful to use a pair of pliers to firmly grasp the slotted band to the screw fitting BEFORE bending the slotted band back straight. Using the pliers just makes a tighter / flatter fit. See attached photo. 🔹 Finally, I would encourage a trial run of engaging the slotted banding into the screw fitting and turning the screw about 8 revolutions to ensure no binding, before actually installing. With these adaptions, I found this product to work quite well.

Je m'en suis servi pour accrocher un support métallique sur une balustrade, la longueur variable du collier est super pratique, j'ai eu un peu de jeu avec une attache mais pour l'instant ça à l'air solide.

Be sure to make the connections correctly (get the slots and threads lined up). If the connections are incorrect, they will sieze up. There is a photo in another review to show the right way.

Läßt sich gut ablängen. Stabil. Zum starken Befestigen gut geeignet. Zum eigentlich vorgesehenen Zweck des kräftigen Verspannens aber nur eingeschrängt einsetzbar: Laschen der Schuhe biegen sich bei starkem Anzug nach innen zusammen bei Einsatz von normalem Schraubenzieher. Bei vorkonfektionnierten Rohrschellen kenne ich das so nicht: da flutscht dann eher das Band. Dazu aber mit Ratsche. Das mag daran liegen, daß bei vorkonfektionnierten Teilen der Antrieb verpresst ist.
