3-Ply 3/8" plywood with stamped on graphics! I didn't waste my energy throwing it without modification. Aboriginal tribesmen would heat their flat boomerang stock for hours over a smokey fire to soften the wood then give it a slight twist - like an airplane propeller has. This is modern times so I used 6 seconds in my microwave, then with gloves on twisted the blades in opposite directions holding the boomerang till cool and set. Too much twist will give too much lift and also risk breakage. There was no wind so I tried it out in the back pasture -- it returned half-way. Using a wood rasp to bevel the leading and training edge of each 'wing' should now make it behave like a real one. It was worth it to me and I knew it would be a bit of a project. I used to make these from scratch, but this was much easier. I didn't need the instructions, but they looked to be correct. Never throw it flat like a Frisbee, if you don't want to break it. Use a large grass covered place to practice! Image added: This rang would only return 2/3 of the way back on a no wind day after my modifications. I think it's too light weight -- but that's safer for kids or learners! I used a horse's hoof rasp to shape the edges, but any tool or sandpaper will work in time. The Instructions say "Take one more step to smooth before use" -- English translation: It won't work out-of-the box LOL
