Review: The Perfect Lamp for Tweens! - I searched high and low for the perfect lamp for a boy's room, and this lamp hit all the marks. Sturdy, colorful, unique, easy to install, and it goes great with the decor in my 10 year old's room. Best of all he LOVES it, especially the adjustable lamp heads. The style of this lamp is reminiscent of mid-century modern/The Jetsons type decor, and is not babyish, not too grown of a look, perfect for any tween/teen bedroom. This lamp DOES NOT come with bulbs, so you'll need to buy five 25-watt candelabra bulbs. Choose soft white/warm white bulbs for the perfect glow!

No problem, though! My 10-year-old opened the box and assembled the lamp with zero help (it was one of her Christmas gifts). We had ordered the chandelier lightbulbs from desertcart as well, so luckily, we were fully prepared to assemble and use the lamp on the same day. She put the lamp in her bedroom and we are so pleased with the sleek but elegant look. The colors are cheerful but not too bright, and definitely appropriate for older children and adults. **Q: Can I buy the covers only for this lamp?**
A: I had this lamp for many years and have been very happy, however recently I decided to remove the shades and clean them due to some accumulated dust. The first shade cracked in three pieces. Was extremely careful removing the other 4, but all were vey brittle and all cracked in pieces.I do like the lamp and will buy another one. Doubt after so many years there is no longer a warranty and if the do sell just the shades they would probably cost as much as the lamp itself.

**Q: What is the height of this lamp?**
A: it depends on how you arrange all the snake-like extensions on top - if you straighten them straight up or if you angle them down. my daughter has them arranged similarly to the picture and it makes the lamp about 5 feet tall.

**Q: Where can I get replacement bulbs????**
A: Have you tried Lowes? I found some at Walmart but the home stores like Lowes or Home Depot have a huge selection of lighting.

**Q: What kind of bulbs????**

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Lamp works well and not cheap quality

I purchased this lamp for the new place I moved into a few months ago. My wife picked out this style and I found it on amazon at a reasonable price. They do sell a similar one here on amazon and walmart for a cheaper price but it's not the same quality. This product does require some assembly and the only trouble I had was getting the colored shades screwed in easily. Took a combination of luck, skill and practice for me. There is a small star shaped threaded plastic nut that holds each colored shade in place. It was difficult to keep the shade lined up and screw the nut on at the same time since the shade gets smaller as you get closer to the base. A teenager would probably have an easier time assembling this than an adult or anyone with really small hands. A possible design issue is the light switch. It's not like most lamps that i'm used to where you turn the knob and you feel a lot of resistance. This one if you turn the knob too fast it may skip a mode or not change at all. You have to turn it sort of slowly/gently. Also make sure you test each mode out first to decide which colored shades you want on. I keep mine set on the 1st mode with only 2 lights on. 1st mode is 2 lights 2nd mode is 3 lights (the other 3 lights not used in the 1st mode, i.e. different colored shades) 3rd mode is all 5 lights 4th mode is off The bulbs that I purchased for this lamp were sold here on amazon.
