beautifully crafted ink with exceptional flow and color depth
The Pilot Iroshizuku line is everything a fountain pen enthusiast could ask for. The ink flows like silk — smooth, consistent, and perfectly balanced between wet and dry. It performs beautifully on both premium and standard paper, with no feathering or bleed-through when used with a good pen. What really sets it apart, though, is the color quality. Each shade has incredible depth and nuance — whether it’s Kon-peki’s vibrant blue or Yama-budo’s rich wine tone, they all have a subtle shading that makes your writing come alive. The bottle design is stunning, too — thick glass, elegant shape, and easy to fill from. Yes, it’s a little pricey compared to standard inks, but the craftsmanship and performance justify it completely. Pilot Iroshizuku proves that ink can be more than just functional — it can be a work of art in itself.

The KING of all inks. Hands down. BEST ink I've ever used.
As an avid fountain pen user, I have purchased and tried oh so many different inks in just as many pens and nibs... I recently bought an extra fine nib from Kaweco and I could not for the life of me get it to stop being scratchy and uneven, even with Kaweco ink....UNTIL, I used THIS ink. Now it writes BEAUTIFULLY. There's just something special about this ink that it always writes smoothly in every pen. I will 100% be buying this ink from now on and in additional colors. I find it to write very smoothly, no feathering, on all kinds of paper, with all nibs of various brand and size, and it never skips or gives me trouble. It's just gorgeous and unflawed. I also really enjoy the packaging. I think the simple yet elegant bottle looks professional but adds to the environment as it's attractive in and of itself. I truly cannot love this ink more. I prefer this ink over many, many popular brands I have used. This is beginner friendly, it's well worth the price. This bottle will last quite a while. It's very much worth it. I would highly recommend this ink to all fountain pen users for whatever the purpose. It's fantastic!!

Premium ink.
I use this ink with a Cross Century fountain pen. The ink glides on the paper rollerball fashion. Almost like laquer. Dries very quickly. I love it.

Fun and Dark Inky Delight
Take-sumi Iroshizuku Fountain Pen Ink by Pilot is a true gem that deserves a 5-star review! Ink has quickly become my go-to choice aside from GvFC Carbon Black for writing and it’s also dark, flows smoothly, and just brings out joy when writing The dark black hue is very good - not as dark as Noodler’s and Aurora, but it’s a good darkness of black without the hassle when cleaning your pen since it is water-based. It dries fairly quickly and has a little bit of highlighter resistance to it as compared to GvFC. Glides effortlessly across the paper even when using Walmart brand Pen+Gear Stenopad. This is a good choice ink and would recommend if you are looking for high-quality ink

It's all right, but feathers easily.
I bought this for drawing with a G-pen mistakenly - didn't know Pilot had a specific ink for drawing and this ain't it, haha. It's not bad. The bottle is very fancy, and the ink is nice and black. It also works with alcohol markers, provided you let it dry properly and don't go over it too much with the marker. HOWEVER. It feathers like crazy if you get any hand oils on the paper. I ruined several drawings before I figured this out!! So whether you're writing or drawing, consider wearing an artist's glove to protect your work.

My Favorite Fountain Pen Ink!!
I have in my current rotation Iroshuzuku Take-Sumi (black) and Kon-Peki (light blue) that I use in my Pilot Vanishing Point, Lamy 2000, and Pilot Metropolitan pens. While it is an expensive ink, they are fantastic to write with, deliciously smooth, beautiful colors and always reliable. The Take-Sumi is a deep, dark black that I prefer to the Noodler's. It is my go-to color for documents and work. The Kon-Peki is a beautiful color that I do most of my recreational writing with. The packaging they come in is elegant and well designed, as expected of this price point. The bottles themselves look fantastic on my desk, and are made of heavy glass. They are great and always start conversations. I'm excited to run out of my current ink supplies so that I can try some of the more adventurous, vibrant colors in the Iroshizuku line. If I had the budget for it, I'd order every color off Amazon. If you're unsure of color, just google the color name and you should be easily able to find reviews and ink tests of each color that'll give you an idea of what each color looks like.

La tinta se ve hermosa, tiene una densidad adecuada para la escritura y se ve que está diseñada para una escritura en papel con un gramaje pequeño sin problema pero en uno grueso puede desmeplarse mejor

The ink writes beautifully s mooth flow, rich colour and clean drying. It feels refined, behaves well on most papers and makes everyday writing surprisingly enjoyable. A lovely choice for any fountain pen user.

I have used black from various other companies, like Mont Blanc, Parker etc but this is my favourite. Lovely, black and as with all Iroshizuku inks, it flows very well...
