A few are dark but mostly allow back light(sun lite) to shine thru. As a matter of fact I have made 60 0r so glass flower blossoms to be used as window decos. I have given many of them away and they were/are well received. Cut a small(nicket sized) mylar disc and start gluing. Use clear GRLR glue combined with gold chain(Hobby Lobby) and suction cup for hanging. The disc(seed part) of the flower is a small challenge. I used buttons W/O holes. Other glass colors add variety. Black eyed susans are a hit. Overall an easy fun project

Can these petal tiles go in the oven? I'm thinking of putting them on fimo clay and then I'll need to bake it.

Brian, Sorry I spelled your name wrong. Time should be a factor. Glass has to reach a high temperature to melt. You need one of two things for them to stick together and that is an “always” thing. If you sanded the glass to give it some grip might help but these pieces are so tiny. Are you trying a mosaic with them on the clay? If so, place them where you want them and bake. After pull each piece of and use a glue or liquid polymer to glue down.

I would like to use solder to join them to make a traditional stained glass piece, has anyone used them for this?

Hi, yes you can use them for that but you will need to grind 70% of them before you wrap in foil or lead because they come really rough on the edges.
