I grew up with my Mom making hot cocoa with this brand. It’s silky smooth and delicious. The best tasting cocoa!

Until you have used this Cocoa you can not image the quality of your pies and cakes. Bought my first can in Holland and was almost out so purchased with Amazon. This is a must have.

A friend brought me a tin of Van Houten's when she toured the windmill where it was ground--at least I think that's the story. All I know is that I've used this remarkable chocolate in a German Chocolate cake, hot fudge sauce, and hot chocolate and it has been amazing. The cake was rich and dense, my grandson said it was the best hot chocolate I ever made, and the hot fudge is dark, incredibly chocolate, and smooth. I'm getting to the end of the can, so I'm looking to find another source and I thought I'd share my experience with this remarkable ingredient. My mother used to say that if you're going to put the effort into doing something yourself), get the best material you can afford. She was talking about sewing, but I think the adage holds true in cooking, too.
