Wow!! Just wow!! I am not professional as trumpet is my hobby for a while. Recently, my first kid, 4 years old girl, wants to play trumpet while I am practicing. So I decided to get one for Christmas gift. This trumpet just arrived today and I tested. I would say, 'Wow!! I have been fooled by other brand!" This trumpet is just awesome that has very clear sound, valve, weight. This is perfect trumpet for a beginner or maybe college students. I had stomvi, bach 37, and currently I am plying yamaha ytr9335. These were minimum $2k for second hand purchase. But this trumpet, East Rock, just made me realize that I actually do not need such a high level quality. I record video and sent to my friend who played trumpet more than 25 years and he was surprised about $100 trumpet. Eastrock trumpet has lighter sound than ytr9335. Which means that it s much easier to play than higher level trumpet. I was thinking about ytr1335(yamaha), tr300(bach). Those are very well known as beginner trumpet and I used when I was beginner. If you are looking for a cheap trumpet but has full functions, I highly recommend this trumpet. Some comments have a issue with valve. BUT I think it is well made valve with $100 trumpet and I am pretty sure it will be much smoother later. I was so excited by this trumpet. I love it and highly recommend if you are looking for beginner trumpet. You don't have to spend couple hundred dollars. This is enough for a beginner. This trumpet is even enough to play concerto. Highly recommend.

It’s our child first instrument and they love it. It’s served them well so far. It’s well made and sounds good. Only issue I’ve encountered is the buttons getting stuck and having to clear them often. But seeing as this isn’t the biggest grade materials, it’s well worth it for the price and for a first instrument. Nothing but compliments on the design and look.

I was a little nervous buying this horn for around $200 only. I knew it might not sound good or be difficult for my new student to play. I was amazed at the quality, the sound and ease of playing. Upper and lower range were good and the valves are amazing, better than my $3k pro trumpet. It came oiled and lubed lightly but I would recommend oiling the valves and adding a little slide grease before using the valves or slides as some users have reported sticking immediately. Superb value and the black nickel with engraving is so rarely seen these days. Update: After having played it a few times now, I can say it slots well, and is working fine for my new beginning trumpet student. Also the sound is a bit on the brighter side. Recently we had one of the valves stick and upon further examination a small metal fleck was stuck in the 2nd valve. Very strange but after we removed it the quick action was restored in the valves.

This trumpet is beautiful to look at and plays like a more expensive instrument. I am well pleased with this trumpet.

I tried an earlier version of this trumpet back in 2020 i later Donated it when I purchased another brand but I began to miss the older horn so I decided to replace it and Eastrock has made great improvements since then the valves are much more flexible and they still need to be oiled regularly and the sound of this particular horn is warmer and with a variety of mouthpieces I now have that I didn't have before this horn has an even better tone your mileage may vary of course I've been using this horn for 3 weeks and I have no complaints so far a great Re addition to my collection of horns at this price there is no need to spend an outrageous amount of money on a fancy instrument ( the $500 to $1.000+range comes to mind) As I am an intermediate player I recommend this trumpet for anyone who's either starting out or returning to playing after a long absence either way this will get you started. Or if you want a fun horn to play with in addition to your regular instrument this also will serve your purpose well."Happy Playing" UPDATE 1-12-24 I have had such great results with my Gold Eastrock horn I decided to order a Silver Plated Trumpet I received it earlier today and it sounds and functions equally as Good however just slightly brighter as it is Silver plated I recommend the silver trumpet as well as the Gold brass with the copper Leadpipe to me it's a good Eastrock pair

This is a great beginner's trumpet and a great price too because they cost way more to rent in the long run AND if your child really doesn't like it, you can resell it too. The case is really nice and quality stuff. We have had no issues with the trumpet at all and the teacher said it sounds great. We will probably upgrade her IF she decides to continue on with it. For anyone with a child / teen, this is a great option to avoid the high rental costs or to avoid borrowing a previously used one because who wants to do that these days? Not us!

You get what you pay for, man. Works great with solid sound quality in the standard B flat register, but the partials become a bit hard to discern after reaching the G just above the staff. Fantastic for beginners, and with practice, the higher registers will become workable. Is it equivalent to a professional model? No, but then again, if you were a pro, you wouldn’t be buying this. Great little trumpet for the price, you won’t regret it.

Sono sempre stato attratto dalla tromba e quest'anno ho deciso di iniziarne lo studio. Ero un po' scettico sia sulle mie capacità che su questo strumento di un marchio sconosciuto, ma ho letto tante recensioni positive e mi sono un po' buttato alla cieca. E devo dire che ho fatto bene. Come dicevo sono un principiante totale ed è la prima tromba che prendo in mano però l'impressione è stata totalmente positiva. La tromba arriva in una scatola di cartone e appena tirata fuori la custodia mi è sembrata veramente ben fatta e curata nei particolari. Dentro la confezione c'è la tromba con il suo bocchino, un paio di guanti e altri piccoli accessori. La custodia ha anche dei comodi spallacci (a scomparsa) per portarla come zaino sulle spalle. Alla mia prima lezione mi sono presentato con questa tromba che ho fatto ovviamente provare al maestro. Dopo aver oliato i pistoni l'ha suonata per un pochino e ha detto che, come tromba per principianti, va più che bene. Col tempo si vedrà se mi appassionerò a questo strumento e se riuscirò a suonarlo e allora potrei pensare ad un upgrade, ma per il momento comincio a provare le prime note con questa tromba.

Todavía no he sido capaz de sacar un solo sonido a esta trompeta. Como imaginaba es un instrumento difícil de tocar. Pero se la enseñé a un amigo, músico profesional de metales, y le sacó unas melodías impresionantes. Él estaba molesto por no haberle consultado antes, pero al final solo comentó: "Está muy bien" Desde luego el acabado y el porte son magníficos, desde la inscripción de la marca, la suavidad de los pistones o el acabado de otras válvulas. Me dijo además que es un acierto que sea en Si bemol y que la boquilla -parece buena, y pesada- sea c7?. Me puse los pequeños guantes, afortunadamente elásticos para mis grandes manos, para tocar el metal, pues parece que impone respeto dejar huellas. Veo todo muy bien. Una sencilla varilla de limpieza, algún paño, y un estuche que me ha parecido muy práctico: la protege a la perfección con la forma exacta, tacto suave por dentro, y por fuera varias formas de asirlo (en vertical, en horizontal y en bandolera), con un buen bolsillo adicional, y todo con dos cremalleras. Una llamativa banda blanca destacaba en el estuche, por la noche pude ver que es reflectante, un detalle más. Instrucciones o textos, ninguno. Según mi experto, ninguna falta hacen. La reflexión que suelo hacerme es que entre un producto muy bueno (como éste) y otro excelso, apenas mejorando algo mínimo (como una trompeta que me comentaron) la diferencia en precio y en esfuerzo suele ser muy grande. Resumo que este instrumento es magnífico para principiantes y profesionales (tal como me comentaron) al precio que tiene. La calidad, al menos en la primera impresión, es excelente. Toca ahora aprender a tocar, no es fácil y necesitará tiempo, guías y buenos maestros. Pero tener un instrumento como éste es un buen aliciente para esforzarse. Llegó rápido y bien, usando envío gratuito en un counter, con un embalado sencillo y práctico.
