It works, but I wouldn't recommend it for field use
This mic has its place, and it's not on the street... seems pretty fragile and audio quality is a solid "meh, it's ok" so take caution if you're a beat cop or firefighter. One big issue is the low distortion threshold, doesn't take much to distort the audio from the speaker at high volume, Definitely not for fireground use.As far as transmitted audio, not bad! Plenty clear and it actually has better noise reduction than the radio's built in mic.If you want to use a listen only earpiece, take note that the audio is quite loud in normal headphones, and mono-left. Not a deal breaker.Overall, could be better, but not bad.

It’s last and gets the job done
I’ve bought 3 of these. 1st one I neglected the connector to the radio a bit and pins broke so I couldn’t communicate or hear and to be honest that’s a bit on me. Now I bought two more expecting them to become useless like the first but that isn’t the case. I’ve been through quite a bit almost daily for 3 months with this hand mic and it has taken the beatings. I am quite surprised due to its price. The sound quality for me most definitely gets the job done it may not be crisp but I can here everything clearly. It has a 3.5mm audio jack so you can add an earpiece definitely a plusI have no problem with comfortability as this goes over a plate carrier but I’d say it stays putI have enough trust in this cheap durable piece of plastic that I’ve not needed the 3rd one and gave it to a coworker of mine to use and I’ve not heard of a complaint from them either.

Pretty solid for me
Well reading some of these other reviews you’d think it’s fragile I’ve had it for about 2 weeks now and it surely isn’t that fragile I have to be pretty rough with my gear and it stays on my vest mighty fine and from what my buddies tell me the quality sounds fine when I send a transmission so this over the 100 dollar alternative yeah for sure

Pins bend and fall out easy
So I bought this for work and it worked for about a month. I noticed the pins bend very easily so you have to be super careful when attaching the mic to the radio. If you don’t line it up perfect then the pins bend to the side and you can never get them straight and eventually fall out. My advice…just buy the name brand Motorola mic. The pins on those connectors are much stronger.

Works great with Motorola HT1000 Radio
I needed a mic for my Motorola HT1000 radio at work. I saw this specific one on Amazon and figured it was worth the $25 gamble at the time. I was blown away when I received the mic. The "Jedi" connector clicked right onto my portable radio without issue. I clearly send and receive messages via radio daily with this mic. The mic even has a 3.5mm ear piece port!I would highly recommend this affordable mic to anyone looking for a mic to use on an ancient HT1000 radio.

Only worked half the time
I was super excited because this is small and not bulky like most lapel mics. However, this only worked half the time. I cleaned the connections on both mic and radio and still the same issue. If you use this for emergency purposes I would not recommend because I missed some vital info about the call due to this intermittently working.

Is as described
My original 3.5 mm ear mic did not work. Had to spend another $20 for a new one and some ear buds. If you did not know they come in 3 sizes. Now with the proper fit, it stays put all shift. No issues. Would recommend to everyone.
