We actually have a metal door frame on our mobile home and I did have to buy a drill bit for metal, but other than that this was easy to put in. Yes, there is a small gap at the top on both sides where the screen rolls down, probably due to how much screen is there, but honestly this is WAY better than just leaving the door wide open for a breeze. Now if bugs want in they will have to actually work for it around that little gap. We can't have a traditional screen door and the other sideways retractable ones are way to big for our carport side door so this works out perfectly. I love the ease of how it retracts without snapping up, you can simply step on the bar to release it from the hooks and it will pull itself up. Messaging the seller to get the proper fit was so easy and it really does fit perfectly snug in our door frame. Their response time was awesome and we got the screen sooner than expected. The only problem we have encountered is actually with the valance to hide everything.....those clips are a nightmare. I'm thinking I will just glue the valance to the frame at this point. No matter what way we tried we could not get that valance to attach to those clips without something popping off....But considering the mechanism itself works great I still consider it a win and way better than no screen at all. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Took a chance and still happy 1yr later *by M***N on Reviewed in the United States on June 18, 2020* I bought 2 of these last year and liked them. Always meant to write a review but that takes time and I just never did it.These have been great. Even though our cat slides through the side and the fit isn't perfect, in practice bugs don't really make it in.Pros:- The seller was careful to custom cut the size to our doors and installing was easy.- Great for our rental where we can't make big changes.- When retracted it's like it was never there.- our 5yr old can let herself in and out and we know she can't get fingers pinched or hurtCons:- the decorative exterior face covers pop off if you bump or hit them and you'll have to clip them back in. Happens to us every few months. I think the design of the clips could be improved.- no fault of the vendor, but a lot of doors do not actually have squared frames, so a good fit at the top may still not be tight at the bottom. Again though, in practice hasn't lead to anything getting in. When installing this or indeed any door at all, be prepared to make a shim or two. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Inconspicuous design, great for narrow doors, easy to use *by R***Y on Reviewed in the United States on December 29, 2013* So far really like this product. Great if you want an extra screen on a doorway, but don't want the bulky look of a full screen. Only criticism is that because it is a pull up/pull down screen, the bottom rung that you pull should have a latch or handle to make it easier pull the screen - eventually frequently pulling will cause tears between the screen and the bottom rung. Also, the screen is only secure on the top and bottom (not the sides), so if you want something that is completely sealed around all edges, this is not the product for you.
