Mecanum Robot Chassis Car Kit with 360° Omnidirectional Wheel, Aluminum Alloy Frame, TT Motor, 66mm Omnidirectional Wheels, Robotic Moving Platform Robot Car DIY Kit (Unassembled)

After watching the Disney/ Star Wars "Andor" series and seeing B2EMO, I decided to build an omnidirectional robot of my own. For a small lightweight bot project, this kit is perfect. You get the chassis, all 4 drive motors/ gearboxes and a nice set of omni wheels with rollers. Highly recommended!

Quality base and parts. Assembly video can be watched on Amazon, but it's not right for the kit. Couple of pointers... attached the based and the top panel together first. If you don't then it's next to impossible to get the screws in the right spot and the video shows them incorrectly placed such that they won't line up. My kid had little axel extenders that connect the wheels to the motors and the video doesn't show them in place. Assembly is very simple, if you have a set of very small wrenches which I picked up from Amazon. Look closely in each tire and you'll find a L or R for left or right side that you'll need to place the tires correctly.

It's top plate is a good size, but the one under it is smaller than I expected. It could barely fit an Arduino Mega. It doesn't come with instructions but building it isn't hard (ATTACH THE STANDOFFS BEFORE SCREWING IN THE MOTORS), also the motors have weird ends on them that aren't compatible with a motor driver or breadboard, so I just jammed wires in the holes and it works fine

I like the metal chassis, it is well made and useful. Is there any recommendation on driver boards and connection of the motors i.e. a distribution board that matches the the connectors on the TT motors.

I haven't tested the motor but definitely the chassis is not designed for this, holes don't even fit the rubber thing for the wheels and the ones that fit, easily get apart because it is to close the wheel and the chassis, I'll said just buy the wheels and motors and make you own chassis

Metallic frame of the cart is a big plus. The customer support is quick and helpful. I eager to have some fun projects with this cart.

Box came unsealed. Not sure if this is the manufacturer’s or Amazon’s fault. Most of the parts appear to have fallen out of the box. Very disappointed as I was planning to use this for a project. Will be returning.

I was able to build a WiFi controlled rover in very little time with this kit. I did need to get longer standoffs for between the 2 platforms to allow room for my 6V battery. Very pleased with the kit!
