Review: Excellent, work well, wound healed quickly - I used this dressing as I had chopped a large chunk of flesh away from my thumb down to the bone, the wound was very deep. Working as a nurse I treated this myself, I had not used this manufacturers dressing before, but have used alginate dressing in the past which are very good for absorbing moisture from a wound. A word of advice, always use a silicon net dressing underneath this, directly on the wound, as alginate dressings will stick to the wound making it very difficult and painful to remove. It absorbed really well and I changed the dressing around every four to five days. The dressing pad was slightly larger than I needed for the wound so I folded it in half for extra absorbancy. It took about a month to heal properly and has healed really well. Hopefully I won't be required to use it again anytime soon, but can highly recommend it. But please remember NOT to put it directly on your skin.

**Q: Can you shower with these on?**
A: No. They are likely to get all soggy and fall to pieces. If it's on an arm or a leg you could try wrapping the whole area tightly in cling film if you really must shower, but I haven't tried this myself.
