A couple weeks before college, my mom suggested I get a photo album to store all my high school memories in. I decided to search on Amazon, since I was already subscribed to Amazon Prime and knew shipping would be quick. While I was browsing down the list, I was on the lookout for one in specific that held numerous pictures because I ordered over a hundred online. Not only did this one have a good number of pockets, it had the color I was looking for; a rustic yellow that would look good with my color scheme. In this review, I’m going to keep it real and talk about the convenience, quality and even the flaws of this album. The first thing I do when buying anything online is filter the price range from lowest to highest because why waste more money on something just as good for cheaper. I soon noticed that most of them ranged from ten to thirty dollars depending on the size and model, which isn’t that bad. Since I was looking for a 200-pocket album, instead of a 100 pocket one, I knew the price was going to be a bit more expensive. When it came to size, I wanted one resembling the ones I owned at home, around 9.5 inches in width and 9.2 in height. This was just about the same size and knew it would fit in well with the others I had. However, they also offer a variety of different colors, sizes, and models of photo albums based on your preference. When the package arrived, I was surprised about how good the quality was. When buying a knockoff or something cheap, you can’t always have high expectations on the item or most likely you’ll be disappointed. The fabric cover was something that really stood out to me and it came with a clear plastic sleeve to keep the fabric looking nice and clean. I like that there is space available to write notes next to each picture; I wrote the dates of when each picture was taken. I honestly think that helps make the album a little more personal. A typically issue that cheap photo albums have are the sturdiness of the pages; this one has thick pages and I didn’t have that issue at all. However, there was a light smell of chemicals when first opening the package, nothing too strong. You should be careful when inserting the pictures because the plastic is very fragile and can easily tear. But once they’re in, they look really nice and well put together. When shopping, keep in mind that this album is more convenient for landscape photos instead of portrait photos. Most of my pictures were landscape so that wasn’t really an issue for me, but it might be for you. Although it has a couple flaws, I would say for the price, this photo album is a bargain you wouldn’t want to miss out on. Because of my subscription of Amazon Prime, I received the photo album four days after I ordered it. The return policy for amazon is considerate and gives you a month to return an item if you are unsatisfied with it. The exterior of the photo album looks very high quality and fits well anywhere around the house. This could also make a great gift for your friends and family. Overall, the photo album was worth the cost, and I will definitely be buying from them again in the future. I purchased this Photo Album for my 17 year old granddaughter (who has lived with us since birth) and through the years I had purchased many different albums to record her many life events, and I wish I had found this album years ago!!! It is fantastic! She is a senior in high school, and you can imagine the many photos, events that happen during that time in a young almost adult's life that you want to capture in a "forever" memory album! Maybe I'm a bit old-school in today's technology world, but all those photo's you have on your various media devices need an "album" with hard copies for memories. I did the same thing with my other children, and those albums I made are what their children and now their grandchildren even love to look at to experience their parent's childhood/life events, from birth through college, marriage and beyond. This album is VERY user-friendly, yes there are less expensive albums - but remember this - you get what you pay for, and when creating an album which you want to last for generations to come, spend the few extra dollars, buy an album that will endure through the years, memories are to be treasured, and this album is one of the nicest I've purchased, plenty of room for your photo's, even a slot on the front to add a "caption" photo (I'll be adding her Senior picture to the front) which is wonderful! I wish the albums I made for my other children had been of this quality. I realize many people store photo's on sd cards, memory sticks, cell phones, etc., but please consider this, you lose just 1, those memories possibly never can be replaced - digital media can NEVER replace a hard copy, memorialized in a album, and with today's memory card readers/printers it's a simple thing to do, take the time to make memory albums - years from now your family will thank you and appreciate that you did! My eldest daughter (now in her 40's) treasure the ones I made for her, my 17 year old granddaughter pull out her early ones to share with her friends and of course her boyfriend. I've heard many of her friends comment how they wished that their parents had more daily life snapshots in albums instead of an album full of nothing but school photos! I recommend this particular brand for many reasons, the high quality and workmanship, the ease of use, and believe it will endure for her to share with her great grandchildren and beyond in the many generations to come!

Love this! I have photo albums for each of my grandchildren and most of them are in their 5th album! The albums are sturdy and easy to insert the individual photos.

I really enjoy this photo album. I used to scrapbook and honestly it is just so much easier to be able to print out pictures and just throw them into a photo album that requires basically no additional work. I love that there is a little note section near the middle of the pages so that if you have a little memory or quote that goes with each picture, you can write that down. I think that helps make the album a little more personal. In one of my photo albums, I taped in some little paper items that I collected during the trip (such as a ticket stub from a Broadway show, a ticket from going up the Eiffel tower, etc). The outside of this photo album is a nice fabric (it looks a little textured and nice) which gives the photo album a good quality feel. The one thing I don't love about this photo album is the idea that you can put your pictures vertically if need be. Honestly, that is not true. The pages look really weird when you put a photo in horizontally. There is a very obvious space on the outer edges of the page and you can see the weird "insert photo here" pattern behind the vertical pictures. I wish that the photo album only "allowed" photos to be put in horizontally and that there wasn't a weird pattern behind the clear pockets. That being said, when two photos are put in each page horizontally, you cannot really see the weird background and I am mostly happy with the look of the page. Album Color: I like the purple. It is a deep purple but would go very nicely in a room with a neutral colored room. Mine is on my bookshelf.

For my purposes, it hits all the boxes; ability to note, you can insert horizontal but vertical pictures too. AND it has the plastic cover the others don't. Pioneer is such a better product than these other equally priced but cheaper quality albums. I bought Pioneer several years ago. Fast forward a couple of years and 2 purchases recently and 2 returns later; Pioneer has my vote!!

Purchased this album to store family photos. I really love the color of the album itself. It’s very sturdy and stands alongside others on the built in cabinets in living room. I do find it takes some effort to put pictures inside the plastic sleeves due to a lining inside the sleeves that is suppose to keep the pictures held in place better. I find it’s a little unnecessary only because I’ve never had a problem with pictures coming out of these types of albums before. In the tabs of the album there is spots to write little notes if you choose, which I do enjoy having to help remember when looking back. For example next to the picture I put dates, names of the people in the pictures, or a small description of what is going on in the picture. The only negative is that when using certain types of pens if you don’t wait long enough the ink will smear. The sleeves are all horizontal so if you dislike having to turn the album to look at the vertical pictures then this isn’t the album for you. Overall, a very good product for the price and the look is very simple but timeless and will stay in “style” for years to come.

I highly recommend this product. It holds 200 photos and I love that you can write notes next to the pictures. The quality is outstanding and the best feature is the windows are made of clear plastic so it doesn’t dull the quality of your photo like some of the other albums. It’s also easy to put photos in and out of the plastic sleeves! Beautiful photo album!

These are very nice photo albums. I initially ordered two and really liked them so I ordered two more. They are easy to put photos in and remove. The fabric is nice quality and feels nice. They have a plastic cover over the book that can be removed if desired but offers some protection for the album. They hold a lot of photos and have a memo section for each photo. The only improvement that could be made is with the writing at the bottom of each page that says “slip in pocket” and “bi-directional is a registered trademark of Pioneer Photo Albums, Inc.” So that it’s not visible after the photos are placed.
