Does not leave any trace or flaking and has a slight scent to it almost like a faint Vix cream smell. I apply this first to get my hairs lightly waxed then apply a stronger wax on top! The stronger wax goes on so much easier afterwards, if I try to apply the stronger wax first it just rips out my hair because of how sticky it is but this creates a nice barrier in between!
