How do I assemble it?

We couldn’t assemble it ,had to send them back( we bought two) and so far we haven’t had a refund !!!

What is the height of the base (excluding pole)?

It’s not sturdy enough to hold an umbrella.

will this base take a 39mm pole

Not sure but I do have a very large garden parasol in it & really love it as it is very sturdy & no maintenance to do unlike the metal ones
