## Description

ISOtunes Link Aware Bluetooth Earmuffs, Ear Protection Headphones for Work | Ear protection headphones for mowing and construction, ultra-durable, Bluetooth audio, Audio passthrough technology, 25 NRR - desertcart.com

Review: Great protection for loud environments. - These are just what I was looking for. I use them primarily for mowing, so the ability to turn off the pass through sounds is perfect for activities where environmental noise is loud. But you can turn on and adjust the pass-thru volume for quieter situations where you are only looking to block sharp loud sounds like hammer strikes or gun shots. Bluetooth connectivity has been reliable. Sound quality for music is acceptable, but doesn’t have a lot of the lower bass frequencies (similar to 3M WorkTunes). Battery life is excellent, and construction durability is better than my WorkTunes (based on my previous purchase of the ISOtunes Link 2.0).
Review: ISO LINK Earmuffs with aware - Afrer using this product for only 10 minutes while mowing I ditched them for my standard hearing protection. Mower seamed loud and bluetooth was unusable. Like others said, volume is restricted. This is also the case with other brands. After setting up a return I decided to give them a second chance. I use a chainsaw frequently and do some wood work. This is what I believe they are purposed for and they shi e here. I went from hating them and setting up a return to giving 5 stars! The volume will not completly overpower the chainsaw but that would be asking alot. I find them to be comfortable. I have used them all day without needing a charge and the Bluetooth connection is great, I have not lost a connection. I prefer these over 3M, which is probably the only close competitor for what its intended purpose is.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: What is Aware Technology? Can it be turned on/off?**
A: Aware is a level-dependent technology that uses omni-directional microphones to allow safe sounds to actively pass through the product while blocking harmful noise. Aware volume can be turned up, down, or off from the right earcup.

**Q: Can you use Bluetooth while using Aware? Do you have to use Bluetooth to be protected?**
A: You can use both Bluetooth and Aware at the same time. Foam ear cushions block 25 dB of noise so your hearing is always protected, even if you are not connected to Bluetooth.

**Q: What size are these earmuffs?**
A: LINK Aware earmuffs have an adjustable headband and are designed to fit most (S-L).

**Q: What's the difference between noise-cancelling and noise-isolating?**
A: LINK Aware is a noise-isolating ear protector, so it blocks noise with a physical barrier (earmuff) while wearing the product. Alternatively, noise-cancelling products produce an inverse sound wave to reduce noise while the product is turned on.

**Q: Can I use these at work?**
A: LINK Aware is an OSHA compliant hearing protector with an ANSI-Certified NRR of 25 dB and they are Bluetooth enabled for phone calls and radio communication. Please abide by the rules established by your place of employment.

### ⭐⭐⭐ Work well when charged and available but very uncomfortable, no shutoff when charging!
*by M***T on July 19, 2025*

The noise reduction is unmatched. I'll give them credit for that. But these hurt my ears and head. Maybe my head is too large, though I don't have trouble buying hats. The headphones come with a cheap foam two piece insert to separate the bar from the top of your head. It fell apart at the glue joint right away and never helped much when it wasn't separated into two parts. I mitigate the head rubbing with a cotton wash cloth. This certainly doesn't improve your appearance, so remove the wash cloth before you go out of the shop. The next problem that is that it only shuts off when you press the button and shut it off. What I mean is that most headphones auto-shutoff when not used after some period of time. This unit just keeps going until the battery dies. When you plug it in to charge it and have left it on, it STAYS ON and remains on after you unplug it. So most often it isn't available when I need it until I charge it again. All that said, I wouldn't run my very loud machines in the wood shop without it. That frequently means a production delay. I could solve that by having two pairs, but at $150 I'm. I like them, they work well but for goodness sake a simple firmware update would make this a first class safety device. I consider this a fatal flaw.
