I'm a big fan of the Hal Leonard "as-recorded" transcription books. They are, in my opinion, very accurate despite what other reviewers have stated. I've read reviews complaining that the fingerings were wrong and that there are easier fingerings to play the music. I have found that these "difficult" fingerings do indeed sound better (more correct) and aren't really that difficult once I've practiced them a bit. I have several books from the series including the corresponding guitar transcription book of DSOTM. I bought this so my bass player could pick this stuff up quickly (he's an excellent sight reader so he can read/play about anything instantly). The music immediately tightened up and sounded spot-on...everybody was amazed! My bass player is now scouring for more bass books from the same series.

Gotta say, I'm getting kind of tired of Amazon going uber-cheap on the shipping side of things and favoring the use of the padded/bubble-wrap envelopes. On the one hand, I get it from a cost standpoint, but when you order a paperback book, especially a larger sized one like this, it'd be nice to not see it looking like it's been folded, rolled, and otherwise abused while in transit. Granted, the damage wasn't bad, but it was obvious that the protection it had in transit was less-than-ideal. For stuff like this anymore, after getting a couple of books like this now, I'm half tempted to order future books in a brick-and-mortar store where they actually care about the quality of what they're selling. On the flip side, the book itself is great! I love that they provided a guitar transcription of the opening to Great Gig in the Sky. For me, that makes the book worth the price of admission by itself! I hate to ruin the rating based on something the publisher can't control, but Amazon really should take better care of the orders they're shipping out.

I have the original tab version of the book, published a number of years ago, very good but with some omissions This version is complete by comparison and enables you to play stripped down versions, lacking in all the production of the album, that sound remarkably authentic

As many of these reviews said, the tracks are out of order. Instead of album order, they are alphabetical, which makes no sense. Critically, this book is missing two songs (On the Run and Any Colour You Like) which is very disappointing and a total dealbreaker. Speak to Me/Breathe is split up into Breathe and Breathe reprise. Then they toss in an Obscured by Clouds song for some reason... This all makes me feel that Hal Leonard, which is a pretty legit company, put zero effort into this 40-page book. Do yourself a favor and do not purchase this product if you genuinely enjoy this great album. I am returning ASAP.

I absolutely love Pink Floyd and have always wanted to learn how to play a few of their songs on my guitar. The songs are surprisingly easy to learn. This song book came delivered to my house in perfect condition. If you love Pink Floyd and want to learn how to play some songs from Dark Side of the Moon then I would recommend purchasing this book. Have fun!
