They appear to be high strength steel, too. **Q: My wall studs are 24” on center. Will I be able to use these corner shelves or only those for 16” studs?** A: You don't have to 'put them in a corner'. I put mine on several feet apart on the same wall. With 24" studs, maybe the brackets 24" apart, and you would have about 12" outward on each bracket. They are 2 feet deep and 4 feet wide, and they are 2 separate shelves, that can be mounted in a 'corner'. **Q: How many brackets comes with each shelf** A: I got 2 brackets per shelf. They are very strong. I have had no issues in 2 years+, and look back in this system for my pictures and comments shortly after my install. **Q: Can you buy extra brackets if you need them?** A: I don't know, possibly. Call the vendor (WEST COAST in/near L.A.)
