Great value, quality and quantity!
The pellets are the perfect size if you are starting seeds especially for beginners. They expand so much and are extremely easy to work with. I was surprised by how much starting mix I had after using half of the box of pellets. I expanded about 25 pellets in a dish so that I could add other ingredients to the mixture and I had more than enough to get started. I allowed the leftover mix to dry out completely stored it in a ziplock bag and used it for my second round of seeds. The coco coir was so light and airy after it expanded and my seeds loved it. I’m a beginner gardener and this product was so easy to waork with that I felt like a pro! Don’t hesitate to buy this one!

Perfect size!
Wonderful product! 1 pellet is perfect size for content of one growing cell. I found 5 pellets was perfect size for my number 4 grow pots. Just dribble a bit of water at a time on the pellet, enough for it to expand. Don't drop 1 in an entire cup of water or it will not dilute properly, that's where any negative dirt content comments comes from, these are perfectly proportioned, economical, easy to use, just drop in cell, and watch for plant growth. I love this as a growing medium, no waste, and everything seems to be growing just fine.

Great for the amount.
I got these to start my dahlia seeds in and they have been perfect so far. I wanted something that did not have all the bark in it They are small disk you just have to add water to, the quality is great for starting seeds. I love that I can just put them in a cup and just add water. Great value for your money!!

No-mess seed starting
These make seed starting so easy. I don't have to make a huge mess spreading the substrate into planters. I just drop, add water and wait a couple of minutes. They hold moisture well which is great for new seedlings.

Hydrates to loose coir, fine for planting, not an alternative for planting pots
I'm leaving a 3 mainly because, while the product is not a good value (you can purchase ten large bricks of coconut coir for roughly the same price), the form factor is handy for dropping into tiny pots for hydrating later. The shape and wording is suggestive of peat-pot like function, which these DO NOT OFFER. They are NOT individual growing pots. They are merely disc shaped coir that will disintegrate into loose soil as soon as they're wet -- just as shown in the marketing photos. So it isn't misrepresented, but I can see how a few people will focus on them while shopping for peat pots. This is not that. I've uploaded an image of a planting tray, originally meant for pots. The coir easily falls apart and fills the tray. That's fine for some purposes, not for others. If you have a lot of very small pots to fill up, and don't mind spending a lot extra for the pellets, go for it. If cost is a factor, you might want to pick up some bricks instead. If you came looking for an alternative to peat pots, keep looking.
