I purchased this rearset for a BMW Scrambler build I'm working on. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the workmanship and finish. A high quality rearset at an attractive price.

To start, all parts arrived in a small box, all individually wrapped in a brown box. Good job, glad that I did not receive scratched parts like others here reported. The parts appear well made and at closer look, the machine finish on them is intriguing, I like it. (subjective comment) Very light weight, to my surprise. But as advertised, it is aluminum. Let's hope it lasts and doesn't break under the weight of an adult male. Now for constructive feedback for the manufacturer: 1. The holes at the end of the levers are way too big for the small bolts that are supposed to hold the li'l end pegs on. The bolts should match the hole size. 2. The shiny collar that is supposed to go into the big hole in each lever won't actually go in. Is this supposed to be press-fit? Once I press it in with my hydraulic press, getting it out to swap the lever direction would be very hard. The collar should fit snugly but by hand. 3. I am afraid that the M8 bolts that are supposed to mount the footpegs to the frame might not hold long. The bolts are actually not in question but the internal thread in each footpeg. The bolts rock in the thread (see video). They are very loose even when threaded in about an inch. I have never seen so much slop. My prediction is that the stainless bolt will strip the aluminum threads in no time and I will be forced to re-drill and tap for a bigger M10 bolt. I will update the review if necessary. But this seriously needs to be addressed. IMHO, this is the worst of the three problems I found. I am not ready to mount the pegs just yet, still working on other parts of the frame and new mono-shock suspension but should have a good feel for the sturdiness of the M8 mounting bolts within maybe a month. I will come back to update the review then. And I can also try to post a mounted picture. UPDATE from 2025-04-19: I chose to drill and tap the pegs for 10mm stainless bolts and am glad I did. I did not trust the 8mm bolts and especially the oversized threads in the cheap aluminum. The M10 bolts fit snug in the threads I cut. No slop. The pegs are now mounted to the frame (through 1/2" steel blocks I welded to the frame) and are rock solid. I can stand on them and jump on them, they do not move. So if you want to upgrade your pegs, drill and tap them for 10mm bolts (or 3/8" if you are in 'murika), you will thank me.

These look to be a return they just slapped back into an amazon bag. Returning because of this. Hope the next set is much better packaged. The 3 stars was due to the packaging. Quality felt ok.

Bought them for a motorcycle as described, but so cheaply made, flimsy and awkward. I waited to long to return, so i am stuck with them, but you dont have to be
