I put about a tablespoon of sugar in a disposable bowl and add about a teaspoon of hot water. Stir it with a cue tip and paint the bait. Put the bait where you see the ants. But I wouldn’t put it on counters near food.The ants do the rest. When they come it looks disgusting but don’t remove it. Let them go back to their nest and it takes care of the problem. In a day or two no ants. Just want to add that Raid ant traps are the best. I tried other brands and even with the sugar water they don’t work as well. The ants came and left and then came again.
