No clue. There were no ingredients listed, only “sourced from vegetable products” I would go and buy the emulsifying was from mountainroseherbs.com their was is organic, same price, and most likely Will tell you what’s in the wax. Also this wax left my lotions with that soapy quality that no one likes.

what is the shelf life?

I can't answer your question for certain because I no longer have the packaging. I can tell you however that I think it has a long shelf life. I've had mine for quite awhile, kept in a zip lock bag. The color of the produce, the smell and how it performs is no different then when I first purchased it probably more than 5 years ago. I would suggest contacting the manufacturer.

Can I use beeswax instead of emulsifying wax to make magnesium lotion or cream?

Beeswax is totally different from emulsifying was. Your cream wuld be oilier than if you use emulsifying wax. I use both in different recipies and in most cases prefer emulsifying wax. Makes y Oh r lotion creamier
