Thankful to have a low FODMAP option for bone broth. I add salt, black pepper, turmeric, and ginger to it for taste. Without seasoning it does have a mild flavor, almost like a burnt taste. I find this more satisfying than the unflavored other brand options. I don’t love the seal on the bag it comes in. It’s challenging to fully seal and it’s a better option to move it to my own container.

I very rarely write reviews unless I find the product to be exceptional, and this product is exceptional! I know bone broth has many health benefits, so over the past few years I have tried several brands of powdered bone broth, and several brands of liquid bone broth, some of which were very expensive. Even though some brands had many great reviews I wasn’t impressed, especially considering the high cost! This brings me to my current finding of Bluebird Provisions Bone Broths. I didn’t really expect it to be any different than the others since it had only one ingredient dried chicken, or beef, bone broth. However, the first cup of this chicken broth I was honestly impressed! It was honestly pleasant tasting! I just added a little Himalayan Pink Salt, and a dash of cumin and I actually enjoyed this! Plus, instead of my usual cup of herbal tea in the morning I find I look forward to my cup of bone broth, and since I have IBS-D it seems to really be calming for my stomach. Infact, the other morning my stomach was feeling very uncomfortable, and a few mins after drinking my Chicken Bone Broth the pain went away. I have only been using it a couple of weeks, so the only health benefit so far is soothing my stomach was, which for me is very important.

I was skeptical of buying because a lot of reviews said this was flavorless. It does not have a very strong flavor like bouillon would. However, adding salt definitely does enhance the flavor and makes it much better. Could add more powder to make the flavor stronger. Mixes well. This is a great product if you’re looking for something with all natural ingredients. I add all natural hand harvested mineral salt to mine so I don’t mind that it doesn’t have added salt. I intend to use this for fasting. Could add flavorless electrolytes to this.

This chicken bone broth took me a bit of time to get used to, but it is definitely growing on me. It has many uses but I mainly have it as a pick-me-up with a pinch of salt or and a small amount of nutritional yeast flakes when the weather is cold. It is appealing to me that it only has one ingredient.

I'm really impressed by this product. Finally, a bone broth that is free of vegetable, yeast, and flavor additives! The powder is super convenient; I don't have to worry about using up a carton of liquid before it spoils, and can take it while traveling. It's great to sip as one would enjoy tea. I think it is delicious with salt. For those commenting about poor smell/flavor, consider that a significant component of what we attribute flavor to in savory foods is salt, particularly something that is animal-derived. Add a proper amount of salt (as the directions on the bag state) and it is every bit as tasty as other bone broths. If you're expecting the complexity of vegetables and seasoning, consider adding those yourself. But I am extremely grateful that someone has produced a broth without vegetables for those wanting to be purely carnivore, or who may be sensitive to certain plant foods. If you enjoy bone broth, know its amazing benefits, and you can't make your own, this is an awesome substitute. ONE INGREDIENT. I've seen several reviews saying how it has no taste, or not a pleasant taste, and that it clumps up when trying to mix it. My opinion- The taste is amazing, it is rich, and flavorful, and I always add salt. I am on a high fat carnivore diet, and I need the added salt. If you are eating a standard american diet, you probably cannot afford (healthwise) to add the salt, so it probably will taste a little bland to you, but adding salt is the kicker for taste. You can always add other spices or herbs to enhanced the taste, like oregano, parsley, or basil. When adding the hot water, it does clump up a bit. But I don't mind because it is ONE CLEAN INGREDIENT and it is worth the time it takes for me to press the spoon against the clumps, against the side of the mug to get them to break up and dissolve better, it only takes about a minute of stirring, and pressing to get the clumps to dissolve. I guess if you are used to the instant gratification of other bone broth powders that contain anti-clumping agents which, in my opinion, completely defeats the purpose of buying an organic, clean product - then this is probably not for you. But if you are serious about buying products with clean ingredients, that might be a little bit more inconvenient to prepare, but it's worth it for your health, then definitely get this one.

I didn’t think it was grainy but it definitely taste and smells disgusting. I had to clinch my nose and suck it down fast. Definitely made me gag a few times. It’s still a cheaper alternative than most brands and has clean ingredients but if you’re prone to gagging, might want to think twice. I had a scoop of flavorless collagen to it for extra benefits.
