A nice addition to grocery provisions---a good source of protein, easy to mix into a broth; easy to mix in gravies and sauces, etc., flavorful, and not salty in taste. The packaging makes it portable to bring anywhere---in the backpack, in the office, etc. Great product! We also have the chicken broth---just as good!

I very rarely write reviews unless I find the product to be exceptional, and this product is exceptional! I know bone broth has many health benefits, so over the past few years I have tried several brands of powdered bone broth, and several brands of liquid bone broth, some of which were very expensive. Even though some brands had many great reviews I wasn’t impressed, especially considering the high cost! This brings me to my current finding of Bluebird Provisions Bone Broths. I didn’t really expect it to be any different than the others since it had only one ingredient dried chicken, or beef, bone broth. However, the first cup of this chicken broth I was honestly impressed! It was honestly pleasant tasting! I just added a little Himalayan Pink Salt, and a dash of cumin and I actually enjoyed this! Plus, instead of my usual cup of herbal tea in the morning I find I look forward to my cup of bone broth, and since I have IBS-D it seems to really be calming for my stomach. Infact, the other morning my stomach was feeling very uncomfortable, and a few mins after drinking my Chicken Bone Broth the pain went away. I have only been using it a couple of weeks, so the only health benefit so far is soothing my stomach was, which for me is very important.

I'm really impressed by this product. Finally, a bone broth that is free of vegetable, yeast, and flavor additives! The powder is super convenient; I don't have to worry about using up a carton of liquid before it spoils, and can take it while traveling. It's great to sip as one would enjoy tea. I think it is delicious with salt. For those commenting about poor smell/flavor, consider that a significant component of what we attribute flavor to in savory foods is salt, particularly something that is animal-derived. Add a proper amount of salt (as the directions on the bag state) and it is every bit as tasty as other bone broths. If you're expecting the complexity of vegetables and seasoning, consider adding those yourself. But I am extremely grateful that someone has produced a broth without vegetables for those wanting to be purely carnivore, or who may be sensitive to certain plant foods. (To the creator) Please don't change this formula, and thanks for the wonderful product!!

Absolutely DISGUSTING!! How disappointing!! My regular provider is out of beef bone broth due to an expansion of their beef products. I had vbeen using that product for at least 10 years. So, I had to go off reviews and try to find something to take its place. This product was SO awful, I had to spit it out. Tasteless and didn’t help me at all!! Guess I’m going to have to feed it to my dogs, to get any use out of it. That is if they will even eat it!! How disappointing and what a waste of money. If you are looking for something tasty, stay away from this stuff. Yuck!!!

Mild taste, easily mixes into hot water. Took this camping for extra nutrients and also drink it regularly at home and even add some to my dogs food sometimes. Worth every penny. This actually saved our dog from dehydration while camping. She ran and ran until she almost collapsed and didn't bother to stop for water (way too excited about the surroundings) and even though this is a human grade bone broth i mixed some up for her and she finally drank. Will continue to purchase when I run out. Wonderful to have on hand and ingredients and quality i can trust

It took awhile for me to find a protein powder that isn't full of dairy, soy and sugars. I keep this in my gym locker to keep my hunger levelled after a workout. It tastes delicious hot with a pinch a salt. It does mix well in cold water so good for the gym water bottle. Since it can be store at room temperature, this is good for travelling long distances and just a heathy dose of protein when needed. I live in Paris, France where it's very difficult to find protein to go as most things are from bakeries and full of carbs. I pay the extra to ship here and will be sharing with other gym friends!

The product specs make this more healthful than many bone broths but be aware that a powdered bone broth won't give you all the nutritional and bone joint benefits of a homemade broth even if added to water according to some websites and an AI. You will get 13 grams of amino acids (protein) in this package but that does not constitute a complete amino acid profile to be tallied up in a daily count of complete protein milligrams according to the same sites and one AI. The product has a mild flavor but still improved the flavor of a barley stew made using some chicken broth.

Better taste than other bone broth

This product is maybe the third bone broth powder I have tried and so far I do like the price, and the ease of use. It takes about two minutes to fully integrate into the boiled water, with minimal leftover over clumps. The flavour is a bit bland but they do have a free online guide to dress it up for sipping. I’ve added some Himalayan salt so far and that satisfies my morning warm broth desires. Overall, a great starter powdered broth for anyone interested in adding a little more collagen to their routine.

The product is fine. I don`t use the recommended ratio of two tablespoons of powder to one cup of boiled water. The taste is a bit severe. I use a little less than half that ratio of powder to water. You will have to add some salt and some dried herbs like oregano or thyme in order to enjoy the flavour. You do need to keep in mind expiry (best before) dates if your buying more than one pouch from Amazon. The website from which you can buy this product directly has higher pricing than here. I assumed when I purchased that the seller is selling stock that is closer to expiring on this website. I didn`t mind because this was my first purchase and I was trying it out only. The pouch that I just purchased has an expiry of a little over 6 months away. This is fine, but if you go on the website where you can get the stuff directly from the supplier, it says that each package has a 2 year shelf life. That being said, I would be careful of ordering too many of these pouches at once unless you are sure you will consume them within about 6 months. I felt the lower price and free shipping on Amazon prime was worth it when trying out the product. I do recommend the product. After 2 days, my joints already feel loosened, I have less digestion discomfort, and I am sleeping better. I will update this post with additional information over the coming weeks.

I really wanted this bone broth to work, and I was really looking forward to adding it to my routine. The taste is unbearable, and I’m usually pretty good with putting up with lack of taste for good macros. I threw the whole bag in the garbage. WARNING: This item cannot be returned!
