Detroit Axle Strut Set - Mazda5
Perfect fit. Dramatically improved vehicle ride after installation. Excellent value for the price. Higher quality paint job. I have never had a "bad" Detroit Axle Strut; not for normal, everyday driving applications. I've learned to appreciate the pre-assembled coiled springs rather than having to address reusing OE coiled springs (with the threaded clamp Strut Compressor tool). I also appreciate the spring coefficient being truly consistent by having a factory pre-assembled, fully assembled Strut.

Fit the Toyota tundra perfectly, great value and product
Product arrived quickly, and all the pieces were there. This is a great company with solid parts. They do not disappoint. Was quoted an outrageous price from the mechanic, these guys came in at a much more reasonable price. (Only comparing price of product, not labor) Great value for the money, was easy to install and the product is high quality. Truck handles much better, and there is little to no noise. Fit the Toyota tundra perfectly.

Beware of correct parts and quality.
Packaged with correct parts. 07tahoe rides like it should. Extremely satisfied. Future parts for my vehicles will be from Detroit Axle. I was replacing 6 month old struts from another that were probably boxed wrong. JUNK Of course , I can't return these. They were very stiff but fit with no problem. Also raised the vehicle 3 + inches. The picture depicts the spring diameter difference

Perfect fit.
These struts and shocks seem to be well made and were pretty easy to install on a Nissan Frontier. Time will tell if they hold up well. I only gave 4 stars because it was shipped in 2 packages a week apart (was expecting them to come together since they were ordered as a set of 4).

What can I say? These will cost me a lot of money in the end.
The first set were defective, causing what is called "memory steer". This caused my 2007 Honda Pilot to pull, hard at times, to the right. This was a dangerous thing to have happen and frustrating since they were brand new. I, initially thought that it needed another alignment to correct this, so I took it back and asked if they'd have another look. They did another alignment, took a look at the steering rack and all other parts and all was in order. Two alignments did not correct the issue. The mechanic took a look at the driver's side strut and noticed that the top nut the bolts to the frame was twisting meaning that the struts internal bearing was not working properly. Detroit Axle replaced the two front struts, but when I took it in to have the new ones put on, the mechanic said are they (Detroit Axle) going to pay for labor? I called and found out that this is not the case. My mistake, I guess, but I am not happy first with the defect and secondly with the bill that I will incur with the replacement of the strut as well as a third alignment. I guess I should have just got them through the mechanic (second labor would have been covered), but I wanted to save a few hundred dollars. Now I am looking at this whole ordeal costing me a few hundred more. Absolutely would not recommend unless you replace yourself and get good ones. I will say that the customer rep was very apologetic though. Perhaps they get these warranty questions a lot. UPDATE: after the replaced front struts were installed the mechanic took it for a drive and was shocked how badly the vehicle pulled to one side then the other side. It’s actually worse then it was the first time. The back shocks now make creeking noises when I drive on bumpy surefaces. This vehicle has had a grand total of 4 alignments since using these struts and made no difference in how the strut causes steering issues.
