Worth it
It's a very simple tool that unlocks a Freewheel Cassette. I'm not a fan of Park Tool. Sure, they make great products, but they're way overpriced and are geared towards professionals rather than DIYers. However, this tool should fit into everyone's budget and gets the job done. And with Park Tool, you can expect the quality to be top notch, so I expect this to last. To use the tool is simple: unmount the wheel from the bike, insert the tool into the freewheel, then use a wrench or socket to loosen the freewheel. Once it's loose enough, you can unscrew it with your hands. Easy peezy. Overall, I'm satisfied with this purchase and would recommend it.

What's not great to say about the quality of Park Tools
As a bike mechaanic who’s purchased dozens of PARK TOOL FR-1.3 Freewheel Removers for Shimano freewheels, I can’t recommend this tool enough! It’s incredibly durable, it fits Shimano and compatible freewheels perfectly. The 12-spline design ensures a secure grip, making removal quick and effortless, even on stubborn freewheels. Its compact size is easy to handle, and it pairs seamlessly with a 1-inch wrench or vise for those had to remove freewheels. After heavy use, it shows no signs of wear. For the price, the FR-1.3 is a reliable, high-quality tool that’s a must-have for any bike mechanic!

Highly recommended
I ordered this after being stuck with the wrong random tool that came in a kit from temu that didn't work. A park tool video on how to remove the different kinds of free wheels helped me decide for this recommended tool. It worked like a charm. The free wheel came off with a bit of help from a wrench and this tool. It fitted great. I have an old GMC bike with a sunbelt freewheel. The tool is sturdy, easy to use, and save be money by bit having to go buy another wheel.

worked perfectly Great tool
apparently the nut that held my cassette onto the hub was so loose that I did not know, that when I put my ratchet on this tool and held my cassette sprockets with a leather glove to attempt to loosen it, the ratchet just fell down all by itself and the nut about fell out all by itself. But when I repaired my loose cassette gears flopping loosely by re peening the 3 large rivets, it made my cassette like new again with no movement at all. NOT even a smidgen. and the say there is NO adjustment for these cassette's. NOT. This tool helped me to torque that nut to hold my cassette to the hub securely this time. It did that crunching torque sounds as you hear in the video's of them torquing that nut. Great tool.

Did it's job
Got here, and worked just fine. Used this on my Shimano MF-TZ21 freewheel.

Excellent quality tool.
Perfect fit and excellent quality. I needed to put my back into loosening the nut and this tool was tough enough for the task while attached to a 2 foot breaker bar and 4ft cheater. Don't even think the powder coating got a scratch.

Amazing Customer Service
I put this thing in a vise and torqued it down like crazy trying to get the freewheel off. Technically not covered under warranty but they immediately sent me another one. 5 stars because the tool is incredible quality (the splines held up) and their customer service is fantastic. Word of caution: don’t put it in a vise directly. It’s a little circle of metal. It’s very durable but no amount of fancy engineering is going to magically make it hold up to that much force. Instead of a vise, YouTube how to remove a stuck freewheel. You use an impact socket and a very long breaker bar, then you hold the wheel against the floor/wall to keep it from spinning. The leverage against the wall holds the wheel in place while the very very long breaker bar removes the freewheel.

Had to remove a stuck freewheel from an old bike. This tool seems to be the ‘benchmark’ for removing freewheels, and for good reason, A world of difference between this and other cheaper Chinese imitations. The other ones all have soft steel, which deforms and slips once pressure is applied. Save yourself money and time - buy this one.

This worked perfect for my large axle e-bike rear hub motor. Tool is well machined, a good fit, and did not bend or get damaged under force

Preis-Leistung Top.
