These are definitely awesome in terms of durability and protection. I’ve had many gloves in the past for firewood gathering (felling trees, blocking logs, splitting, etc.) that just don’t hold up to use for more than a season at most. These definitely hold up. So why 3 stars? The design for them staying on my hands when lifting or moving logs is terrible. The gloves will stay on and protect for cutting with a chainsaw, but the second you need to lift or move, grabbing a round to split, picking up split wood, etc. the gloves will fall off. They are perfect size for hands but they won’t stay on.

I really like this classic style of glove (no velcro strap, loose cuff). I bought a medium, and they were surprisingly tight on my small hands, but they broke in within a couple weeks of sporadic use. I was a little miffed about the sizing at first, but I found that it increased my dexterity handling small hardware. They essentially combine 'leather' impact gloves with cut-resistant gloves, so it's really the best all-around glove I can use on all but the messiest jobs. The only issue is durability, which is the issue with every glove I've used. I'm tempted to drop a star for that, but increasing the shell thickness would decrease dexterity.

Very comfortable, reasonably dexterity and resistant to puncturing. Highly recommend.
