Alfi Gusto 1.0 L Glass Vacuum Lacquered Metal Thermal Dispenser Carafe, Space Grey, One Size (AG1900GY2)

I bought this very expensive little thing in April 2021. I am not a everyday drinker, but I do like my coffee in the winter. First, I knew I shouldn't have gotten this because it is crazy what they are charging. I went against my original thought and purchased anyway. I liked that the inside was glass. It should hold my coffee hot for awhile. So I tested it. Made coffee late afternoon/early evening and it was still warm enough to drink in the morning. It's wasn't hot, but I was satisfied with the time it was in there and the temp the next morning. Like I said, I don't use it all the time. One thing I didn't like is, how do you really clean the spout? I just put hot water in it and poured it like I was pouring coffee. The last few times I used it I noticed a noise like air bubbles blowing. Kind of like when your using dish soap checking for leaks around tire rims. Also my coffee wasn't as hot as normal the next day. I chalked up the bubbles noise to me just rinsing it. Until the next time it did it again. So this time I didn't push the button to pour I just took it to my sink and tipped it in the sink at a pouring angle. Coffee was dripping out. I then realized that the bubble noise I had heard was air leaking and it wasn't keeping a seal. What is my honest opinion of this product? I would have said 8.5 because the price. The company is probably making a killer profit. Now, I would give it a 2, maybe. Between the price and now my issues it rates love. You would think as much as one pays there would be a long lifespan. I would not recommend this coffee carafe. If you do get it I really hope you get your money's worth.

Given some of the complaints I hesitated to buy this. I do not understand why there are not more choices anywhere, not just on Amazon, for glass lined coffee thermoses. Metal lined thermoses build up coffee stain and are a pain to clean. The lid to our very old glass-lined thermos broke. Anyway, this thermos works very well. I preheat heat it, usually the night before when I set up my coffee maker, by filling with with boiling water. I took care to pour the water slowly at first given complaints that the glass could shatter. That hasn't happened. The other complaint about the lid hissing or not closing is not an issue. The lid turns two circles and has a definite stop point so there's no guessing about how tight to turn it. The thermos keeps my coffee hot for hours. One year later - still love it as I never have to clean old coffee stains on the inside as the glass liner stays crystal clean. Metal thermoses do not and scrubbing them with steel wool is needed just about eery month.

This is an awesome pot - it really does keep hot liquids hot! I love it! So why a one star review? After continually using this pot for 11 months the chrome top is separating from the body - now it no longer pours. For $79I expect much longer usage from a product. Very disappointed!

I love the look of the coffee pot and it keeps the coffee hot. However, major issues with the pouring lip and I would say a design flaw. It’s not a focused pour and leaks down the sides. If the cap is off and you try to pour, your counter will get more than your cup. For the price of this, that was disappointing.

Good quality, stylish, easy to clean, would recommend!

I love this carafe. Our kids view us as indentured servants, who only exist to serve their needs. Milk has been a particularly contentious issue: they drink about a half-gallon of milk a day, but aren't strong enough to lift up a full gallon container and pour it on their own (and when they've tried, it has spilled everywhere). Every twenty minutes, it was, "Can I have some milk? I can't do it myself. It's too heavy." Enter the carafe. It holds a good amount of milk, but not too much, so they can lift it themselves even when it is full. It has a button they press when they pour it, which controls the flow and eliminates spills. It is thermally insulated, so I'm not worried that the milk will spoil when they leave it out for an hour (which happens all the time). And they love pouring it themselves. We do have to hand wash it every gallon or so to keep it clean, but that's a small price to pay for reduced whining.

We had our first one of these pop inside the shell when the glass failed. The second worked fine for a little while, then suddenly stopped keeping liquids hot. We assume the vacuum in the double wall glass liner hjas lost the vacuum, which wrecks its capacity to keep things hot for longer than an hour or two. After 4 hours, it drops from scalding hot, to tape hot water hot. We're done with this brand. Too expensive to keep replacing when it fails.

Great product, easy to use, the top is small so hard to clean. But if you only heat water, it only needs a vinegar swish now and then with a wire brush and its good to go! It has a glass insides so you cant get crazy with cleaning or handling (dont drop it), but the glass is the best insulator and this one does its job well.

Very bad experience. The flask I received is not new. IT is used, stained, dirty and smells of coffee. I bought this as a gift and sent it to my friend without checking. It was horrible when my friend informed me two months later that she had opened the package. By then, it was too late for me to request a refund!!! See the photo. I bought two flasks - both had the same problem. Also, one of the flasks was supposed to be grey in colour, but inside was red! This is a bad experience. 0 star!
