Tips in review!
These are overall a great way to frugally update a fugly floor.I really wanted to review to show you the photo I so wanted to see before I bought them. The seller’s photos all show the tiles laid the same direction. This just draws attention that these are mass produced as your eye can easily spot repetitive patterns. They look much better rotated in a chessboard pattern like I have them. They are lined up exactly just chessboarded. As for installation— they are quite easy and still high quality. For straight edges use two short boards-one underneath to safely cut on and the other on top as a straight edge. Run your blade with pressure down the line then snap back and just cut the paper on the back. For detailed cuts (like around curves or moulding) you can just tape in place one of the papers from the back off a full tile and cut out the detail shape (I just went to trace with a pen and it cut through the paper that way, lol.) Trace on the front of your tile (watch the direction! If you don’t keep up the pattern even on small edge pieces your eye will notice!) cut free hand with pressure carefully and slowly snap around the shape and cut the paper to release— I even had two pieces wrap entirely around a trimmed closet door and it flexed around great. If you trim to conservatively (like me) you can literally whittle away little pieces with your blade until it fits just perfectly. Just don’t take the backing off until you are sure it’s perfect. Now, I’ve only had it down two days so I can’t speak to longevity but will update if there are issues. Don’t see an update? All is still good!

Watch the size if you’re buying samples!
Not taking much off because it’s my fault for not reading carefully…If you want 36 tiles, you get 12”x12” squares. If you want significantly fewer than that and so buy a few samples instead, they’re 12”x6” tiles (and are clearly just the square tiles carelessly sliced in half). If you didn’t notice that part of the description, you end up with half the amount of tile you needed and have to order more.
