I own one. One side is tapered, the other is flat sided. It would be more versatile. Use the side of the pusher that best matches with the sight body or base. I've used mine on several 1911 slides, the most recent being the removal of a Bomar BMCS target sight, and the installation of a new White Dot sight. OIL THE THREADS on the screws, and oil the slide dovetail to help reduce friction during removals and installations. TIGHTEN the bottom screw securely on the BLACK block to hold the slide in place.
