I liked these Sony's because they are 3-ways. Most other bookshelf speakers are now 2-way. I also bought a 100 watt Sony receiver from Amazon to go along with my new speakers. The combination has proved enduring. Besides listening to music while I exercise, I also play my drum set along to relatively loud music. These speakers are handling it. I had to get used to these new speakers. Sound wise the 3-way is very accurate in producing tones. However, a little more in the high range than the bass. I am a tweaker. Which means I will play with bass and treble till I get it to work with my styles of music, then I leave it set. (Ok, I still do tweak occasionally). Some reviews said the bass was weak, but after playing around a bit with setting, positioning, and raising the speakers on a set of stands, they sound great. I can hear the bass in a song by Dua Lippa. I can hear the subtleties in other softer music.
