This mat really works to keep the spilt water contained. My pup likes to create a whole water feature out of the water dish, this keeps it contained without getting gross. We had tried the rubber absorbent mats but they would let the water flow through and pool around within a drink or two. We tried the stone absorbent mats and they worked for a day before the water would flow past it. We used to keep a tray under the waterer but the water that it caught would turn so gross between getting dumped out and usually make a mess between the floor to the sink. The slop mats are great, I bought two so I can swap it out weekly when I clean the house. They clean up nicely and don’t feel soaked between the swap or trap the water underneath. Best option I’ve come across for my messy Lab/Shepherd water lover.

I really do like these mats and use them at our back doors. The mats trap loose grass clippings from our Giant Schnauzer and they do a pretty good job soaking up wet feet and bodies because our Malinois mix rolls in anything wet. I just have him down on the mat to soak up the water. This would be the bigger mat not the slopmat size. So far they wash nicely and look brand new. Also they are holding up to heavy foot and paw traffic. Also the mats shake out well and you'll be amazed at the amount of stuff it collects.

I love my Soggy Doggy Slopmat! I previously used a small doormat with a plastic back for my dog's bowls. It didn't work as well as I wanted since the water could still get through small holes in the plastic. The Soggy Doggy does not have a plastic backing, but it absorbs so much water that the water doesn't get onto my hardwood floors. The Soggy Doggy is soft and fluffy. The pattern looks OK. As one other user mentioned, I wish it didn't have a bone pattern on it and was just plain. Washing and drying the mat can be tricky. I have a washing machine that has a 1400 RPM setting and even that can't get much (if any) of the water out of the mat. It comes out sopping wet. I line dry the mat since the dryer just goes and goes with this mat in it. I realize that the ability to hold water is what makes the Soggy Doggy great, so I put up with the hassle when it comes time to wash and dry it.

Seems to do the job of collecting dribbles from the dogs.

I have three pit bulls, two are 8 months old. I was looking for an absorbent mat for under their water bowl. I don't like the rubber mats because they just hold the water. I have had this mat for several months. It is exactly what I was looking for. It absorbs all the excess water that falls out of the dog's mouths. I was worried it would smell moldy but I wash it every other week with vinegar and it doesn't smell at all. I would definitely recommend this product!

This is such a wonderful thing to have. I had no idea I would love it so much! No more sloshy water on my kitchen floor from my dog drinking water. I really like that is soaks up the water, and then dries in a timely manner and does a great job. I have a large mastiff mix, and this is plenty big enough for the water bowl. I don't put the food bowl on there because it is used for dry food and is not messy.

If your dog slops enough water, the water will go through this mat and onto your floor. There is no solid back to the mat. My pug, a small dog, slops enough water before breakfast to soak through the mat. I put a rimmed rubber mat underneath the Slopmat and finally have a perfect solution. A rubber mat alone was not enough to contain the water, plus left puddles for the dog to bump or splash and water would sometimes creep underneath the mat. The Slopmat alone was not enough to absorb the water; not only did water leak through, the Slopmat acted like a wet sponge and held water against the surface of my hardwood floors. But putting the Slopmat on top of the rubber mat seems to provide enough moisture barrier plus enough absorption (splash/splatter protection) to keep my floors dry. If you pair the Slopmat with a rubber mat, buy a rubber mat the size of your Slopmat. If the Slopmat is larger, its wet edges will hang over the edges of your rubber mat, and you will still have the problem of the Slopmat allowing water to soak through to your floors. FYI - my Slopmat never dries out completely.

I love it! I was using a rubber mat but when my Newfoundland drank, water went under the mat and I was constantly drying the top and bottom of the mat. With this there’s no more wiping up a mess. I just throw it in the washer once a week and it even washes and dries great too! Love it!!!

OMG! I am so happy with this product! I have 2 large dogs and I have been using one of the Petsafe water stations. There was always a big puddle around the floor from splashing water from my puppy. The dogs would then track the water all over the house. I tired a boot mat and it would just pool up the water. Since I got this mat there hasn't been any puddles around the bowl, and it never seems to be wet. It has totally taken away the problem of wet foot prints everywhere and having to constantly mop. I am defiantly going to get the large one for my laundry room floor.

We use this in front of a catflap and works well, collects water, mud etc off our Cats paws before coming into the house.

Awesome work really good won't be without one now
