Review: Great option for my 7 year old wanting to learn - My son is only 7, but his school had an assembly with yo-yo pros and wanted to give it a go. Not only is it “cool” (his words), but this is a great option for beginners as well as intermediate. I followed a few YouTube videos to appropriately cut the string to his height and even doubled looped the string at the yo-yo itself to help him bring it back up (responsive) until he gets more comfortable with the technique. It also comes with the non-responsive pieces to switch out once he becomes more skilled for additional tricks. The case included is a nice hard-shelled zipper style and allows him to attach to his backpack. It’s made well. He’s a fan and I would recommend. Side note: I was tempted to purchase some of the 2packs this manufacturer makes, but I decided to start with the K1, assuming it was the lower tier of models. Now knowing how well he’s doing with this one, when he’s ready for additional yo-yos, we’ll definitely go for the 2packs which include the K2 and K3.

I purchased this yoyo for my 7-year-old son, and overall, we're pretty happy with it. The yoyo spins very smoothly and easily, which is great for practicing tricks. However, since my son is still young, he found it a bit challenging to get started—initially, it was quite hard to get the string wrapped properly, and he even managed to get a knot in the string at one point. That said, I really appreciated that the package came with extra strings, making it easy to replace when needed. While it may be a bit tricky for a younger beginner, especially at first, I think it's a good value for the price. My son enjoys trying to learn with it, and with a little patience, I believe he'll get the hang of it. Overall, a solid choice for a beginner yoyo and a fun toy for kids interested in learning tricks.
