Not designed for real swords
This is a piece of junk! The instructions they send with it tell you to pierce the foam. I tried different knives only to rip off a piece of foam. The instructions on the product here on Amazon worked better however the foam doesn't hold the sword itself in place. My sword slid down. This must be for plastic swords.

Looks very nice, has some weight to, solid
I got this as part of a retirement gift idea. I’m going to put a plaque and ribbon rack in the front and place an NCO Sword in it. I would recommend it if you need a sword holder for a display. It also comes with mounting hardware if you need it.

Looks nice but terrible mounting hardware
The display itself looks really nice. But I’m very disappointed in the mounting situation. It comes with 2 sawtooth hangers to attach to the back of the display, but doesn’t have pre-drilled holes for attaching them. So good luck making them level. It also didn’t include hanging hardware for the wall.

Nice product but...
Very solid and we'll made but obviously a return. Product itself looks nice and is well made but came all scratched up on the inside where someone had inserted and pulled out a sword several times. Also a scratch on the back. Bought some stain from Home Depot and unless you get close the scratches are barely noticeable. I just hate buying something new which then has to become a project.

Great product
Great product. They forgot to drill the hole to hang it.

Beautiful but inadequately designed
Overall I would give it 3.5/5 stars, but I don't get to mark things half a star so my review will sit at 4 stars. This sword display is beautiful, and looks very classy hanging on the wall, but has flaws that could have so simply been remedied I have to deduct points. For starters, inserting the sword is a tedious nightmare. They want you to stab through the foam so that it holds the blade with pressure, all good and perfectly fine option because a blade should stab anyway. Unfortunately they didn't consider that in order to line the blade up carefully, you don't get a running start and if your point isn't extremely sharp it won't cut as easily as they think it will. This causes the sword to push the foam out of place and if you keep pushing it will cut through at the wrong angle. Then you have to repeat the process, hope you get it right, and have a worse looking outcome than necessary. Glueing that foam piece to the food and adding a starting cut to the top would have gone a loooong way in preventing that. Also, if you follow their instructions exactly, you push the back foam piece out when trying to push the scabbard/sheath in after the sword. That should be glued to the back wood piece. The mounting hardware is a couple of pictures frame hooks they include in the package but made absolutely no mounting holes for in the wood, so it's up to you to hammer those nails in and make sure it's level. You have the option of taking the whole thing apart to put the sword in it, and considering how my process went following their instructions I would take it apart if I ended up with another one or need to change the sword. But even there they make it even harder for the end user, by putting adhesive foam pads over the screw holes. They did not need to cover those holes, they are not seen when the display is mounted, it just makes it more tedious to use the thing. All in all, it does look fantastic once it's on the wall. The wood finishing is beautiful and the edges are smoothly rounded and the whole thing feels like a valuable product. If you know someone or have a laser engraver you could add a nice design or crest to the front piece, which I think would add a nice flair to contrast the otherwise completely barren front. They just have a few shortcomings to address and the price would be far more justified.
