Incorporating "object based surround sound" such as Dolby Atmos, DTS:X and Auro 3D, the SVS Prime Elevation Effects Speakers allows you to unleash your home entertainment system's full potential with the inclusion of Height Effects Speakers. These speakers, with their slanted design, allow the user to install them in a multitude of positions. Eliminating unpredictable and compromised ceiling bounce, the Prime Elevation Effects Speakers allows for direct radiation of sound with full range dynamics and the refinement of high-end bookshelf speakers. The standard approach regarding the use of height effects speakers has been done away with. The need to rely on ceiling bounce has proven unpredictable and depends too heavily on room size, room shape or ceiling design. But the SVS Prime Elevation Effects Speakers allow for optimal, direct radiation of sound, and the Multi-Angle Wall Bracket enables you to mount the Prime Elevation Effects Speakers high up on a wall close to the ceiling, which will allow for the deliverance of full-fidelity of object based surround sound.

Review: Beautifully made, versatile and great sounding. - These are beautifully constructed. I purchased the 'piano white' option and it looks very nice and not at all plastic ... it does look like the lacquered finish of a white piano. The packaging is incredible: each speaker is wrapped in a scratch free back, then in more padding then more padding then the polystyrene shell then the very sturdy box. Installation was fairly easy (except for the mind destroying 31C heat of the last weekend which made the job horrific) and the marking template for the wall bracket holes was perfect. The white ones are quite unobtrusive on white walls. They sound good, they've got a full range even before being worn in and provide a much improved ATMOS experience from my up-firing ELACs.
