My mom ordered this without me knowing and when I came home it was hidden away behind my toilet. I did not even realize at first that it was a toilet bowl cleaning brush until I lifted the handle. This another great Home Basics items tham makes your bathroom look more modern and works very well to declutter it. It is small and sleek enough to not take up much space and it does not gross you out because it is enclosed on all sides as well as being closed from the top with the handle. It adds a great touch to your bathroom and takes out a lot of the gross factor associated with toilet brushes.

I first bought this about 5 years ago and was immediately pleased with its stylish looks and, more importantly, effective brush cleaning head. It feels like it is giving the toilet bowl a good scrub, and that includes under the rim. The holder is attractive and sturdy enough not to fall over. It has aerating holes to avoid any smells from accumulating. And it holds any drips from the brush in the waterproof bottom of the holder. Only one very slight demerit: the finish has tended to become less shiny over the years. I guess I could try to polish it but, what the heck, it does its job nicely, sits neatly at the back of the toilet, and it's not going to offend anyone. A "can't miss" purchase. (I just bought another one, for an extra bathroom.)

Let's imagine that most of your bathroom fixtures are stainless. You probably want a stainless toilet bowl brush / holder to match, rather than a cheap plastic one. This option is only a little more expensive than the cheap varieties so it looks like a good match! However, it has some design flaws. You might be better off with one of those cheap plastic brushes. PRO: -nice exterior material -brushed finish looks professional in a bathroom, but your interior design choices are personal. -brush holder is self-covering due to the brush design -vented holder lets the brush dry out without getting moldy or worse. CON: -brush handle isn't particularly stiff. It's okay but, I've had better brushes for $4 from the grocery store. -brush bristles aren't particularly durable. They work, but, they'll flatten out with use. -brush shape/contour isn't ideal for some common toilet bowl configurations, and won't reach every little nook by the drain. -price considering the above seems a little high. While not in use, this appears like a premium product, but functionally, it's not great. If you frame this as a 'set piece' within your bathroom, which sees infrequent use, then it is fine. But it won't do as good a job as many alternatives. And it probably won't last forever.

This is a nice, decorative toilet brush. We bought this so a brush would be available for guests. Most people don't think about guests but you should. Here's two reasons - 1- It's aesthetically pleasing. Personally, I don't care if I see a toilet brush or plunger, yet it does add a touch of class to a guest bath or powder room. 2- Some guests make a mess. They are embarrassed. They don't want to leave things stuck to the side of the bowl. You should provide them solutions in the event something happens. I see so many powder rooms that have nothing but soap and a hand towel. It's horrible to leave a mess and you put the guest in an embarrassing position to have to ask for a brush or plunger. Is this meant for daily bathroom use? Yes and no. The brush handle is thin and weak. If it breaks, there is no way to salvage it. I don't like buying this twice. It's not the money...it's about keeping the carbon footprint to a minimum for me. No doubt it will break with anything above medium scrubbing pressure. You might want to just have this for decoration/guests and get something tougher and sturdier for the weekly bathroom cleanings.

I've had this toilet brush caddy for 2 years. It looked great for awhile and then it got rusty. I just came back to my orders because I wanted to see if it was Stainless Steel as I thought it was. The description says "Stainless Steel Handle" Ohhhh. I was a bit annoyed, but I really didn't pay very much for this. Before ordering a new one, I decided to see if I could clean the rust off. (Thank you Google and YouTube.) I found out that Bar Keepers Friend will take the rust off of this. 5 minutes, Bar Keepers Friend and a scrub brush and it looks like new!

I noticed my old toilet brush and caddy were getting so mildewy and gross after a few years' use that it seemed time to replace, and popped onto Amazon and saw this. Seemed like a nice piece of design, discreet, matched my bathroom. Last night I used it for the first time, only to instantly discover that the brush head isn't of a piece with the handle -- it's screwed on, and immediately fell off in the toilet bowl. So for the first time in my 64 years of life I had to reach with my bare hand into a toilet to retrieve the brush I had just used to scrub it, and put the thing back together. Yech. It screwed back on, but I have no faith that those cheap plastic threads will hold tight. I will get another at the first opportunity but it will be one that I have seen and handled before buying. Gag.

Very attractive and the base is a nice one to store the brush in. The narrow profile of this is perfect for my very small bathroom. The brush functions well to clean, and so far it doesn't seem to be building up a smell of any kind. That is after a few months of use. Much better than my previous big box store purchase.

I've been using this for a few months now and was VERY worried about the fact that it becomes a plastic handle under the lid... but it has held up very well for several months, and I clean the toilet vigorously when I use this thing. Looks nice, easy to clean, and has held up well. Very happy with the value for this thing.

My mother really wanted this so I purchased for her. I know the silver leaves finger prints and dust but she says it is worth it as it is so pretty so as long as she is happy and I am not the one cleaning it Im good LOL

Very nice design. I like that it's vented so it dries between uses.
