Sturdy
I've had this for about a month now and it hasn't given issues yet. Perfect size for me to lock my rear wheel and frame when I make stops. Ill update later on in a few months.

Great lock! A little narrow, but does the job
I still have my bike, so it works!

Decent given cost
tldr; The product works decently well given cost. You aren't looking at this bike lock if you are looking for the absolute best product that works the best for the given application. However, you are most likely looking for a U-Lock and were enticed by the cost of this product. So, I will spare the positives since it passes basic functionality and if you can live with the negatives then it is potentially a candidate for purchase. The coating of the U portion of the lock is rubbery and therefore could potentially lead to your skin catching on the lock if you are more person or do not ride with the most pristine form (or simply just position the lock poorly). The bar itself is obviously more sturdy than a chain lock, however if someone is determined to take your bike (given large enough lever, and not that large) its still very doable through the lock. The fitting of the attachment to mount the lock on the bike is a plastic and has a small range of diameters that it can actually work with β so check your bike for applicable locations before purchase. Further, the lock is held on with screws and nuts clamping the plastic through (ironically and hopefully) elastic deformation around the shaft and a rubber piece to add grip since it will deform easily allowing for a tighter connection. However, the entirety of this is held together by the two screws and nuts (as mentioned) and I see this as a critical point of failure given enough jostling or time wear to the point it breaks. Finally, the actual U part of the lock will not fit around a lot a poles due to the inner diameter being small (believe it is mentioned in product description, just noteworthy in purchase consideration since it may not fit your application). In all, thus far I would say the product is satisfactory and meets the basic needs of a U-Lock.

Theft deterrent
Convenient size arrived as promised reasonable price β¦ lock is large enough to attach to bike locking stations but small enough to mount on the front side of the cross bar where it does not interfere with pedalling, water bottles or cables..π΄ββοΈ

Only if it were simple...
Durable, strong, and secure, but only if it were simple. There are three parts plus a key. It gets a bit complicated in a hurry. You keep the key in the small bar lock until you are ready to put it together and lock it. So, if not organized you could be juggling some items. Once you find a system, please let me know. I would suggest a longer cord, if possible. For now you can secure the front or back tire to a post and center of bike. If it were longer you could secure the whole thing. I only mention that because often you will see a secure bike with a tire missing. So a thief will be a thief in the end. When it is in all one piece you do feel better about your trip and the return home.
